Most powerful ground weapon
Just wondering- of all the ground weapons your PC uses, which one has the most punch? For a while I thought the Boolean cannon I bought from the lobi guy did the most damage, but does anyone disagree?

Most people gravitate toward Lobi ground weapons like the Advanced Herald Antiproton Beam Projector, Boolean Heavy Assault Cannon or Portable Phaser Cannon.

Personally I think most ground weapons can be very powerful when upgraded to Mk15 gold. For example the Romulan Split Beam Rifle is easy to obtain from Romulan Rep and very good, especially with a Romulan character with plasma bonus.

Another example of powerful weapons which are/were relatively cheap are the 2399 Phaser Rifles. Their high rate of fire has a strong synergy with the Covert Assault Drone kit module.

Seven's Dual Tetryon Rifles also a good option and being a mission reward.

there is a pistol that you can buy during the winter event that is very powerful. it is part of set and is very powerful if you get the entire set.

Well, it comes down to what you mean by "most powerful". The Boolean Cannon probably does the most single-hit damage, but it hits one enemy and has a very slow rate of fire - that's why you don't see people using it all that much: you're usually facing groups of smaller enemies where you want AOE damage and/or a fast rate of fire to deal with target cleave.

If you like the style of weapon the Boolean Cannon is, then the Portable Phaser Cannon is probably the best weapon of that type. Faster rate of fire while maintaining quite high single-target damage, and providing a DoT.

My personal favourite is still the Herald Antiproton Staff, which has a very fast rate of fire and chains to two additional targets. The chaining mechanic means you don't need enemies to group together to be hitting more than one at a time. As it is antiproton, it triggers the Tenavik's Council ground trait (additional Antiproton DoT). It melts groups of enemies.

Mr. Vup's Pistol is another star - it is a short-ish ranged shotgun blast of phaser damage that has a very, very fast rate of fire and provides pushback/knockback.

Certainly the Thompson Machine Gun is worth having, but its not great as a general weapon.. it just happens to be the absolute best weapon for dealing with borg.

the story throwing knifes are pretty OP especially against the borg.

I think a all-around-absolute best of ground weapon is unrealistic. Think of sub-categories. Best sniper weapon? Best melee weapon? Best phaser weapon? And so forth...

I'm partial to the Mirror Universe Dual Pistols.

There's the Zefram Cochrane shotgun too. Added bonus that you can throw in a quote from Aliens as well.

Here is a TOP 10 from 2020 -don't think its changed much according to what people have said here.

That said I will say it seems like the TR-116B has been nerfed.

If I were to focus on ground though I probably would go here first:
