launcher update error

My launcher is stuck on a loop trying to update the launcher. It drops to about 96MB and then restarts saying there was a timeout of the connection. I'm on a hard-wire and was just playing this afternoon on my secondary PC and it worked just fine, but now I can't even launch the game through steam or through the game files directly.

Anyone got any tips? I've already tried restarting steam and reinstalling the game but to no avail.

Did the same for me, it gets there eventually...

From what ive seen from it happening in the past, its just shoddy update servers cant handle the load.

Last few days it did work after a while. Today? No, pretty sure it's broke as hell now.

Managed to widdle it down to 70 mb before it went back to over 100 mb.

it took a while, but it came on. slow launcher. and they STILL have not fixed the launchers in the background in my task manager yet.

My husband's launcher on his PC (same wifi) updated fine right away. Mine is stuck on the loop of infuriating update attempts. -_-

UPDATE: Waiting worked for me. It got down to 48.9 MB, said it tried to connect 8 times, then the box closed. When I clicked on the STO icon to start it again, the launcher popped up like normal.

was getting diddly squat here for a while now i've got 100+MB download for the launcher. i call shenanigans.

UPDATE: got about 25MBs of it (slowly) then it restarted. looks like servers derped pretty hard.

UPDATE 2: after MANY repeats, it LOOKS like it working.

The Launcher is in a update loop. I expect the servers to come out of maintenance in a hour or so prior to sunrise as usual.

Hmm same the luncher restart all time and no may update thy go to 84mb/81 and start again to 112mb and its all time cycling WTF????

yeah i am seeing the same problem now. Update it took about fifthteen minutes of watching the launcher update before it fixed itself, so i guess a slow busy server problem.
