Not sure if it is still relavent, but I found the mission under "Department heads: Engineering"

Yes, THIS.

I finally got this DOFF assignment; I was in the Aldebaran sector, and it was listed under Department Heads: Engineering.

The old wiki page that says it is listed under "current map" is out of date, and incorrect. Two weeks or searching for this assignment, I never once saw it under "current map".

After a lot of running around, I just found it in Defera Sector in the Alpha Quadrant. Note: Not IN Defera system or landed on Defera. I was stopped outside Defera system on the sector map.

Confirmed: it is under the Engineering department head.
