[Resolved] Lobi Crystals grinding tips?
I was wondering if someone out there could tell me if there was a way to grind for Lobi Crystals? I'm interested in aquireing a Kelvin-era Dreadnought without having to spend any actual money. Truth be told, I'm around 875 Lobis short. :/
Any input would be appreciated. Thank you kindly.

Impossible.
Get a job, pay, play

You would have needed about 150 keys = 750 mil EC = years of grind
not worth for 150$ ship

virtual stuff is not worth any $$$ at all ^^

It's not about the game, it's free to play.

It's about the OP shinies, pure virtual pixels for a short duration of fun. Tomorrow, there will be another OP shiny T6 Constellation or T7 stuff, ultra epic and Borg Cubes. Whatever pixel sells *lol*.

The new money cows. Like making cars for free and selling every different accessories, tuning and colour every month for much more. In the end you pay 10x the price of an ordinary new car.

.... having lot of powerful ships, I know, they are not worth it, believe me. Better performance, but that's it. Game is still dumb and boring

Your position produces valid arguments I respect. And you're right, the implication that I sink actual currency into a perspectivly boring game seems, if not is silly. However it's my money, and I conciously make the dicision to support a company, sparingly mind you. I'm quite conservitive with my finances.
I am well aware of the game's supposed free to play nature. But all I'm asking is if there is a way to start earning Lobi crystals without having to spend money. I know I've done it before... I believe.
Again, any input is appreciated. Thank you.

No you can't grind lobi. It used to be included in some featured episode replays - then they removed it. Now only via lock box and promo packs. All take ec or real money. Just bought the Dread - aka Vengence for around $350 million ec - decent ship - but I prefer c-store ships

I see, thank you. I just recently saw requisitions for that as well. I guess I'll have to scouff up 350M EC for it.

Again, thanks for the input.

What is this, n3mes1s 2?

Here's the thing: STO F2P model is pretty fair. You can play for free, and when you are good, you don't need to pay, ever.

Saying nothing is worth it is like going to a charity buffet and complaining about the fancy drinks costing money.
It's not worth it to you, but you still stuff your face with food, because that's free.
And when the host of the charity asks for donations in the evening, you are outraged and maybe laugh at them for selling basically nothing worth mentioning, mocking it and telling people around you not to pay anything.

Geez, grow up people. This sure ain't a charity, but all you leeches should be grateful that some people still like to pay for something they enjoy, or otherwise there would be no free food to stuff your facehole with.

And by "Leech" I do not mean every F2Player, but rather those that play and STILL complain at every turn about stuff. It's ridiculous.

You can 'grind' lobi by opening boxes with keys from exchange bought with EC ( read my first answer).

I actually spent some bucks for this one, in contrary to Nemesis, who is proud of not having payed a dime.

Like every Casino is fair. Your can spend the whole day for free on training tables and when you are good, you don't need to pay ever. But the chances are good you get addicted and lose money.

Oh, cmon. It's not complaining about paid drinks. It's about the high price of boring tasteless drinks.
If you sell Star Trek, there should be Star Trek Inside, not a mindless dumb genocidal mass murder action game in space with Star Trek theme.

Hey, I like your car idea! Where do I sign up? What kind of car is it?

There is only 1 fact that is relevant to life time subs like myself who have invested thousands of hours and even thousands of pounds into this game.

Despite our support, despite things we have stated in the official forums.
We have been completely ignored, our monthly stipend has not been upped with the price of everything in store, and they have allowed the ingame currency to become completely worthless, meanwhile, operation Dill sink continues to forever expand.

For people like me, who played the game the way we have enjoyed for years upon years, they have basically made it so we have to grind for 6 to 10 times the amount we used to, for the exact same reward. Making the game now completely none viable.

This does bear relevance to the OP too, since for him this process would take even longer, as they wont have 15 to 20 characters to "grind" it out with. Which, would of not been the case going back a couple of years. (time wise)

But for people like me, as lifers, we knew what we signed up for, "this is what you get, it may or may not expand further, and we can do whatever we want to the game itself".
Yeah we get that, but it sure as heck doesnt mean we have to like it, or speak supportively over it.

If there's something you like, open your wallet, and buy it. don't be tight. Doesn't that go for everything else in the world? A ship may cost $30 or $40 dollars... rip off... totally. then again so is windows, nike shoes, iphones, DVD's nearly everything we use we are being ripped off. Thing is, what is the real world pleasure you are going to get from spending $30 or $40 for a ship you like and could have 100's of hours of real world enjoyment from... thats like a pizza deal with coke and garlic bread... there is a real world element of enjoyment you derive and why not pay with real world currency.

There is a reason why people like to play F2P games. $$!!!

Let me put it to you this way. Say I want a Master Key @ $5 (for the sake of the argument) it is worth more or less 2 gallons of fuel in the US. If I take that and relate my contries exchange rate to that same key, it will cost me in the same as approx 4 gallons worth of US fuel... Double the price....

It easy to say open you wallet and pay, but in the current environment that type of reasoning might limit the number of players to the "rich few" eventually letting the game die a slow death.
