Regarding Yesterday's War
A new bunch of episodes for Temporal Agents? I hope to plow through these as quick as possible to reach level 50. At 30 now and Daniels is taking over the time-line again. Back to the 23rd Century. Just got the taste of the Enterprise C and the jump in power was intoxicating! Now I have to smoke some space-weed to get back to my place in the stars.

"Yesterday's War" is for everyone, not TOS or agent exclusive. Just the introduction to Daniels is a bit different for the non-TOS characters but the rest is the same.

The Yesterday's War story line is open to all characters. Oddly, but I guess it's fair to those who miss out (or don't care to) on creating an actual temporal agent.

And as you may have noticed, the arc is not sequential (that is, mission after mission after mission), but there are quite a bit of levels in between each mission (an old max level toon naturally can run them through as wishes). First one iirc after Klingon war, second after Romulan Mystery and so forth...

I have created one, just to occupy the free char slot this gives me before that window runs out (if it does as with the Delta Recruits)

Haven't yet managed to take a swing at it.

Now there is this silly tactical Captain in his silly uniform and his silly ship sitting there on my char screen, begging me to play him.

I doubt I will in the near future.

But that's just me. All that TOS business really turns me off for some reason.

Thing is if you haven't played the TOS character at all he isn't a temporal agent with all those perks. To unlock the "temporal agent status" you had to finish the 23rd century stuff ( 6 episodes) and get to modern ESD, if you haven't done that before the event ran out you still missed your chance for all the charatcer specific & account wide unlocks.

Yeah? Well FML.

Oh well. As I said, it's not as if I can stand all that noise anyway.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I don't get the logic though: The Delta stuff worked right from the start of the character, or did I just move into that "sweet spot" by actually playing that character?

Because I distinctly remember finishing all the collectibles and junk and getting the rewards way after that was long past. In fact, I only recently reached max level on that character and effectively played most of it quite recently too.

But yeah, thanks again. Good to know that I at least won't be disappointed then should I actually try and play that toon at some point.

Worked the same way with DR, had to finish the tutorial to be eligible. For a temporal agent, the tutorial is the 23rd century bit. Too short imo.

Understood.
Oh well, I won't loose sleep over the rewards. Hopefully.

It's all an attempt by Cryptic to keep as many players in the game as possible and they sweat when new games are released that come close to STO so the allow mods to tease people into coming over to our universe.

The game is still intensly huge, however I really, really and tired of anything to do with Nimbus III and that retarded stronghold.

...damn stronghold!

At least I got another character slot without having to grind for the ZEN or outright pay.

Problem is, I really don't need another toon. (and again, those visuals, urgh).
Well, maybe when I get really bored.

Gift horse and all that noise.

Yeah the rep upgrade is pretty awesome. Getting rep shields, deflectors, engines and most importantly cores at UR is great.
Though at the moment it somewhat breaks the rep stuff because it prevents people from getting gear like the adapted maco/khg ground set and other things that have unlock criteria.
Wonder if that's ever gonna get fixed.
