Make sure you're constantly moving and try to get out of their artillary strikes.(the blue things that pop up everywhere when fighting them)

First off are you playing on normal difficulty? If you haven't gotten any injuries you are on normal. If you arn't on normal switch to normal.

Second have you spent your spec points and all that? I could understand wanting to wait and make sure you fill it out right, but you're loseing a lot by not spending your points. If you haven't slotted traits either you should absolutly do that.

Third do you have any sort of built or are you using a mixmash of gear/abilities? If you don't have any sort of build I'd at least try to get the basics. Choose one energy type for beams or cannons and make sure all your weapons are that energy type, aside from maybe a torpedo or 2. Then make sure all your tactical console slots buff that energy type. Make sure your tactical bridge officer abilities apply to whatever weapon type you're using and the current meta is to go with aoe abilities. Make sure your science and engineering boff abilities are useful as well, it sounds like for this you'll want heals. You should be able to buy decent gear off the exchange for relativly cheap.

I think you can also skip the mission and go onto the next if you are having a really hard time with it.

"Logical" gamer is using a phaser-based T4 Assault Cruiser. I convinced him to get a set of disruptors so we'll see how that goes.

I was doing the same mission a few hours ago and i cannot believe how much cryptic have nerfed the Vaadwaur. Now they have become the Borg 2.0 compared how they were when Delta Rising launch.Grap a few neutroniums alloy from the exchange and these skills also can help your survivability.

Note:The artillery barrage is polaron based not kinetic, given the magnitude of the attack they will drop your shield quite fast in case you cannot escape in time.

Just bear in mind engineering console armors have diminishing returns so you won't get as good resists as you would by having more than one console of a different type with differet type.

Basically, don't mount all neutroniums.

Eh, he doesn't have the universals yet, so he can use armors until he gets said consoles.

Yeah, he's doing rep.

pavel can you have him add @Aiosha to his list there a firend who may be able to help him get a bit of a jump start. Hope all is well and as to the vaduwar just run past there artillery and try to keep a roaming build on them.

He can survive fairly well, for flying a T4 ship.
