those consoles (and set boni) are actually usefull
ooooor buy keys when at discound, sell for ec and get 3 lockbox ships from the exchange for each of ur toons
since shipso in a bundle are rly very similar... where is the point in flying the same ship on 3 toons (with only small differences)
So i should not get the bundles and instead get a diffrent ship for each career? Cause i REALLY want the T6 Escort Carrier for my tac but dont want other careers to lack ships

Larger Two ships have 1 hangar and can mount dual cannons.
I might get this pack because it has everything i want but...dear god the ships are UGLY
The temporal ships are not lookers. Personally why I went with the Cardie Sci Dread over the temporal science vessel. That, and I like cloaking.
You are indeed correct in that the multimission boats cannot use DHCs. If I were looking for a ship 3-pack I'd probably go with the command battlecruisers. They're a bit slow on the turn rate (avenger/arbiter/gagarin would be better for a cannoncruiser), but they all have a hangar and can mount dual cannons.
Ye. Command Cruisers look nice. I wouldnt mind using beams but ive literally never made a beamboat before. I would use entirely anti-proton beams since its my fav energy type. Also its much more appealing to my eyes :)
The problem with bundles, imho, is that most of the time they restrict you to a certain ship subclass. All the command battlecruisers are battlecruisers are 4/4 battlecruisers with similar seating and stuff.
Granted, I'd probably just get the Arbiter and a T6 Science vessel of choice (assuming you're spending 6k zen) since the arbiter has a pretty good trait and while it doesn't have access to a commander tac station it can work pretty well with cannons or beams. You're only buying two ships, yes, but you're buying a fairly versatile one (the avenger/arbiter can use the cloaking device from the level 61 defiant if you've got it, and is brilliant in general), and a science vessel.
That, and in a month or two we'll be getting the T6 Risian Corvette and the T5 version of said ship is pretty good imho.
If i didnt get a bundle i would DEFINETLY be getting the T6 Escort Carrier-Its nimble, carries cannons AND has a hangar bay. I would ALSO pick up the Arbiter for an Engineer character since i like the idea of a versatile ship for my eng. Until i get more zen my Science char could probably use either the free lvl 61 ship or the Arbiter
Unfortunately, the Atlia doesn't have access to a frigate pet, but does have quick deployment. It's not a particularly popular escort - probably due to the superior stats of the pilot boats or some other pure escorts. Can use swarmers though - and dual swarmer hangars make my Obelisk viable in level 65 stuff.
Arbiter's definitely a good ship though, and I wouldn't restrict myself to a bundle just cause it's 3 ships for the price of two. Excepting admiralty concerns, if you're not gonna use the 3rd ship there's not really any point in restricting yourself to ships you may or may not like due to it being of supposedly better value.
My opinion though. I'd go with the atlia + arbiter combo if I'm gonna enjoy flying those two ships over 3x bundle ships myself.
Also: caveat - I have a habit of dismissing ships with hangar pets that don't have a frigate due to the inherent lack of tankiness of fighters. Don't take that too personally as I still fly a Dyson Science Destroyer.
By the way, you do realize cruisers basically suck with cannons and rule as beam boats as a general rule of thumb? They turn at glacial speeds, which just doesn't work well for cannons, let alone DHCs
If you much prefer cannons, you might want to consider not getting a career-typical ship for your engineer. Engineers flying raiders or escorts do work. They won't be quite top-of-class dps, but they really do work. (Captain career is a fairly small part of any build, really, compared to the lot of skills, specializations, boffs, doffs, ship and gear.)
For your scientist, there actually are pretty decent sci cannon and even DHC ships out there. Top-of-the-line dps would be torpedo boats, though.
Not gonna use cannons in my engineer. Would use antiproton beams
