And for some reason (what ever you call it) you felt like you needed to do it....again? And this time completely unrelated to topic aswell. Okay then.

Ps. "Thread Necromancy" is a meme thing, not to be taken literally. Not a new thing either, been around many many years...

I prefer this version (just for the art):

yeah... The "focused" look :surprisedbs: on that Necromancer is funny...
Both card-arts are from the same artist, btw. :nonplussed_creep:

Also, the past decade is but one FIFTH of my entire life, and is nearly a piss drop in a bucket it's gone by so fast. I'm talking about the last TWENTY-FIVE, (which actually ended about 5 years ago when I retired, so we're talking about your supposed past thirty years) wherein I REMEMBER when 'meme' became 'a thing' and it was in the 2000's after the 'Y2k Bug' scare when everyone thought they're wake up on January 1, 2000 and their computer would not work. (true, actually, but there was a simple fix, as it turned out) But it was distinctly at that time I recall social media (which was in its infancy at the time with places like Myspace and the dark web, before Facebook came around) and people attaching a picture to a (not novel or original) idea. Kind of being Mr. State 'd Obvious... which is annoying at best. Sure it was cute and funny for a little while.. Now it's all I see kids these days do. Cluster around a phone, or cluster in small groups, talking through their phones, through memes and other silliness, grunting and half-speaking, half laugh-talking like a bunch of idiots. Again, hardly something to be proud of, much less try to defend. You've created nothing but idiocy and irrelevance. These 'memes' will neither be 'sage wisdom' or 'good advice' in the decades to come, so why reduce ourselves to behaving like children, sharling life through silly pictures?
ok boomer
Technically, 50 year olds aren't Boomers but Generation X.
Welcome to STO, now give them more money to not fix stuff....

Technically yes, you are right, but then, the response "Ok Boomer" is not only a matter of the actual age, but also mentality of the person in question.. and in this case, I find it quite fitting. :spaztears:

I believe I posted the definitions of the two words.. so therefore it's hard to say I am confused as to what they mean.. You must be the one who is confused.

But that's where you're wrong. "because there was no other word in existence" You give me one 'NEW' word and what it describes and I'll tell you the ten that existed before it. You've lost. Move on.

Necroposting. Give me ten words that had the same meaning previously. I mean the actual, defined meaning, as in posting in a forum or bulletin board in a thread that has seen no activity in years and no longer has valid information present due to changes in the circumstances.

You have posted several literal provable factual errors, which I've already covered. You keep compounding them, and then making the claim that because you think you're older, you're right.

I'm not defending anything, or being proud of anything - literally I am correcting your misinformation and at this point, likely willful self-deception.

I literally pointed out that you did something very silly, used the correct, accurate, and only descriptive term of the activity, and then months later you decided to come back and try to wave your old man bollocks at me.

Based on your skill with the English language, the constant insistence upon your age (which is very reminiscent of the old "ex navy seals sniper" meme, if you want to get right down to it - interesting that you yourself are acting like a meme), with a chump level, newbie aged Steam account, no cred, laughable post history, abysmal skills with written language, and nothing to offer except posting dead memes about the Y2K scare, you're not presenting a good representation of your purported age group.

Assuming you aren't lying and you are 50-something, you're making a convincing play for being the least mature retiree I've seen in recent memory.

Keep pulling out historical events with meme-level significance, it is literally just making you look even more and more foolish.

Let me clue you in - I've been counter-trolling a lot longer than I can tell you've been trolling, and if you want to look at my Steam post history, you can clearly see that I'm both proficient and I do not back down.

You want to keep this up, I've got balls for days young man.

Lol.. 'young man'. Okay, son.

'least mature retiree blah blah'. Uh DUH, I'm FIFTY and RETIRED... OBVOUSLY I'm handicapped.. and my handicap is basically a maturity issue.. YOUR POINT? That still doesn't mean I haven't been around since the inception of all of this and haven't watched it evolve practically from day 1... From before day one, if you count BBS days when it wasn't the world wide web. I'm merely stating my being astounded at the ridiculousness of where this has spun out to. That's all.
This right here is some quality Internet content. It's almost artistic in a humorous kind of way. Came back to the discussion after 2 months, I wasn't dissapointed.

People also love to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about stuff they can't prove and like the other guy, get angry and tell everyone to Fk off instead of saying "I stand corrected". This is why your generation FAILS in every way compared to mine. No ability to admit wrongdoing. The 'me first' generation. Deal with it. (and fix it, because it's going to be yours to figure out before you know it) For the record, Internet has existed publicly since 1995, 2 and a half years after I got out of the Marines as a 2841 Ground Radio Repairman. So, I was already trained and experienced in electronics and radio. I also had been a 'computer user/gamer' since the mid 1980's when I got a Commodore Vic 20 and learned 'Basic' (BEFORE MSDOS). I was at my third computer related job and was now a 'specialist' in hardware/software the day the internet was 'released to the public' (summer '95-ish) and some co-workers and I were learning how to do the https://www.blah blah blah. I've been a forum user since then (1995) so, yeah, it's only really been 25 years since the internet. However, with bulletin board systems (BBS) we were online as early as 1990 or even earlier for people who were IT personnel in the 70s and 80's (research 'the mines of moria' game and all it's predecessors. There were also flight sims and some Knight adventure game that had 'graphics') and had access to LAN connectivity and installed these games on their servers to play. (see M.U.D.) I played DOOM and BLOOD games over local network, with other techs, around 93-95 as well. Set up a network at my parent's house and played network games with my younger brother, including the above. Taught my brother everything I knew and now he runs a successful business in Corpus Christi, TX that opened in 2000. So, yeah, I've been in it pretty much since the beginning. Younger people who weren't even alive during all those developmental years (2400 baud modem connections, 1.44 Mb floppy disks) have no clue what they missed, or what's happened before their very self important lives started. I'm not trying to insult, I'm merely trying to illustrate to you guys how MUCH I know about it and how easy it is to see that you don't know all the 'before' stuff. So, saying 'it's been like that for 30 years' (and I've been around and 'in the know' for that long or longer; about 38, total.. I'm 50 now) and trying to make me believe that is ridiculous and shows that they don't really know what they're talking about. It's been that way as long as YOU have been a user, maybe, but I'm simply saying that people have been 'coining new phrases' every few years, using the wrong words (on purpose?) and it just rubs me the wrong way because I came from a time where being proud of your literacy, and penmanship (getting gifts of fancy pens and such) was commonplace. Now people get an award (trophy) for coming in LAST place for the season... never happened when we were kids. You played sports, you got a trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.. everyone else got a 'ribbon' that said "participant" and yeah, it kind of sucked to get that.. made you FEEL that loss.. was meant to INSPIRE you to try harder next year and get on a better team and WIN that trophy. A concept lost on today's young people. Another thing to deal with... or fix.. your choice.

Know, there is this thing called formatting. It makes wall of text easy to read!

?? I'm old, man.. Wtf does 'nice necro' even mean? Why can't you kids use real words.. why does everything have to be some abbreviated code-like text-message-structured minimalization of the usage of WORDS.

Last "relevant" reply was from 15.10.2016.

So, "necromancy" to revive a thread long since dead and buried. (how do people even come across stuff this old...random search eyes closed?)
If I might add. Necroing means pushing a thread back to the top again with a useless post.
People (kids) misused that term so often wrongly that now everyone thinks it means the opposite.
That even when you post something usefull to an old topic they call it necroing.
For instance I find it helpfull if people would post solutions to older threads that asked for help.
But most forums block older threads so you cant even post a solution anymore.
Or some forums dont even allow posting on older threads but rather have people open new threads that maybe already exist 100 times.

Btw, yeah I wasnt even aware there was a afk penalty in this game.
Just finished a match and after emptying my inventory I wanted to enlist again for an TFO and saw everything was red.
I was like "WTF" what is that? Then I barely saw it.....penalty for being afk!
I am like how can I have an penalty when I finished the last TFO!?
So weird.

Thats what we call a "bump", which is against forum rules. Necro is what it sounds like, when the thread is old and rotten and someone's woke it up where its always better to start a new thread since four year old data is helpful to no one.

Write it down for future reference.
