Tahyon beam/shield drain resist ?

So i am on a Memory Lane quest. Enemies there use tachyon beam, my shield are drained instantly and i get killed is there a way to resist it ?

I have not played on a long time, but i remember using polarize hull for tanking and attack pattern delta followed by beam Array fire at will.

I had to lower it to normal, and even then, my weapons were blue, one was purple. My shields are at lvl IV at the moment.

Even with my level 60 ship equipped with the best of the best gear for my starship design, tachyon beams still break down my shields. At this point you'll be relying on your hull and resistances. You may also consider turning the ship if other shield facings aren't down...as is often the case. And if you're a science character, investing in the drain skill is a worthwhile investment if you intend to play the shield drain game too.
