Problem with Mine Enemy mission

I'm at the "Digging for Answers" part where I have to enter the magnesite mine and use the pressure plates to open a door (to continue the mission).

I guessed that you have to use your bridge officer to stand on one of the plates while you lock in the co-ordinates (confirmed by checking a walkthrough guide).

Unfortunately the "set rally point" command isn't working, so I can't direct them to go anywhere. Weirdly it works just fine if I go back outside the mine. It just refuses to work inside.

Has anyone else encountered this bug and is there any way to fix it?

Is Set Rally Point for doff not working at all? Or you having problem with doff not stepping on the pressure plate?

Its just not working at all. The white arrow appears when I click on the icon, but when I try to actually set the rally point, it just disappears and my bridge officer doesn't move.

I just tried it on a character that have not done Mine Enemy and Set Rally Point worked and openned the door. Maybe log out, exit STO, restart STO, do a validate data files in the STO options, then try again.

Thanks for the suggestion but I checked the "Force Validate" option and waited for that to finish before hitting Engage...didn't make any difference. I've even tried selecting a different Bridge Officer - that doesn't seem to help either.

I've done this mission with several toons and it worked every time. The set rally point is a bit wonky but it worked.

i sometimes have issues with that command when i go to new romulus to stand in those insect swarms for a quick health/shields ground endeavor.

what i do when the boff refuses to obey is to spam those "request reinforcements" and "regroup bridge officer" buttons and then it works again.

dont know if that helps, but the lack of discipline and following commands is a serious issue with the boffs from time to time :)

Yeah, I always have to set it further away than I think I need to, but it's never just not worked. You can't place the Boff anywhere in the room at all, OP? Are you maybe in shooter mode (no idea if that would make a difference)? Oh, have you tried both the team boff location set button and the individual boff location set button? That shouldn't make a difference either, but maybe it does.
