last question, bridge officers

so i'm planning on playing with a bridge crew of "others" non standard Federation races. i saw some unique ones from quests like a Voth, hierarchy, etc... but i was wondering if the ones on the Zen store for 500 zen are for character only or the whole account, they say account but my brother told me he bought a borg a long time ago and it was only for that one character.

The Boff's you get from the episodes and your fleet are the best, and most of the Zen BOFF'S are character only. If you buy the TOS Photonics from Mudd's Market you will have a good collection of very rare BOFF's for your entire account and Uhura has 2 Space Traits. The episodes will have a few more Boff's with 2 Space traits for you and then when you've made some fat stacks of dil and fleet credits you can buy from the Fleet Colony Lukari and Kentari BOFF's with 3 Space Traits. When you finish out your Diplomacy Doff missions, you can also get a KDF Boff at Earth Spacedock but other than Pirate from a Nausican maybe there isn't much tasty going on from there.

The standalone Zen ones are mostly single character, however the ones that are sold in bundles are account unlock.

IF you want to maximize space damage, the best options available for Federation are:

Tactical:
#1.... Romulan Tactical with "Superior Romulan Operative" trait (you can buy at Fleet Embassy; ONLY the blue quality male tactical officer has this trait, but you can buy multi copies)
#2, #3, etc... see above ("you can buy multi copies")


Science:
#1.... Jem'Hadar Vanguard Science (from the Gamma expansion pack - account unlock but may only have one per character)
#2.... Hierarchy Science (episode reward)

Engineering:
#1.... Jem'Hadar Vanguard Engineer (from the Gamma expansion pack - account unlock but may only have one per character)
#2.... Nausicaan Engineer (Diplomacy Tier 4 reward)

* I am excluding the Kentari from the Fleet Colony from the above, because it operates so differently from everything else (being a stackable instead of a passive bonus) that is difficult to rank comparitively, and its effectiveness is partially variable with your playstyle and situation. In SOME situations it may be a superior option to those listed above, but in other situations it's worse.

While there ARE other officers with space traits (such as the aforementioned Uhura)... not all space traits are created equal. Re: the Kentari and Lukari... yes they have 3 space traits, but two of them are Leadership and Efficient... which are both below-average space traits.

also certain boffs you can get if you have been to an officially sanctioned Star Trek Convention and you had an official photo op with one of the star trek celebrities you can submit that photo ops photo to STO and they'll give you an code for an boff...one thing though...it has to be an orginal photo that's official and you have to google the rules for submitting an ST Convention photo op photos...(you can't use someone else's photo which means you have to use your official photo that you purchased from the photo ops at the convention...and they're not dirt cheap though as the cost of photo ops with Star Trek Celebrities depend from celebrity to celebrity...

but if you're not willing to shell out money for certain boffs from mudd's market the photo ops photos from an star trek convention with an star trek related celebrity is your best bet..if you're lucky to go to an officially sanctioned star trek convention and meet chase masterson you might just get an code...that's how i got 2 Star trek online codes for two different boffs...one code from chase masterson herself and the other for submitting my photo ops photo with chase masterson herself at the 50th anniversary Star Trek Convention in Cherry Hill, NJ (the biggest convention for Star Trek is Las Vegas) and if you look at my profile pic to the left of my comment you'll see that it's me with chase masterson herself dressed as Leeta

Was there useful information in there that I contradicted? No. I was only saying that the method you mentioned of getting those BOFFs was not the only way.
