Discovery Characters’ Species

I went to character creation for new Discovery faction and saw that you can only play as Human and Vulcan anyone else think this is weird given that The Original Series can play as two more species/races Andorian and Tellarite. I did some research on Discovery it’s supposed to take place ten years before The Original Series, so I have a question how is it that two of the founding species/races of the Federation aren’t available?

Yes, I am aware you can make an alien character that mimic other species/races not playable, but I still think its weird that Discovery is missing species given how its not too long before The Original Series.

yeah , I am planed to make Tellarite for AoD char but disappointed ,now , same as everything for this crapy AoD stuff

Is there Tellarite and Andorian main characters in the Discovery show?

It is a strange decision, but Alien is the best choice anyway. I always pick Alien even when I'm going to create a human-looking character. You get more slider range on facial customization, and more freedom with trait customization.

What I really like is that my default Discovery human bridge officers have reptilian strength and vulcan nerve pinches, and my vulcan bridge officer has corrosive blood. Discovery really subverts the canon, huh? :P

It's in the knows issues notes, so likely to be fixed soon(ish)

Supposedly Discovery themed Tellarite and Andorians are suppsed to added "Soon".
