Set bonus

Does anyone know how to get the set bonus if you can't equip more than 1 item from the set. Like WTF why even make it a set if you can't get the bonus anyway

Specifics? What set IS it you're having an issue with?

Every set I've seen that has multiple parts that go in the same slot (such as the Sompek Arena Warrior set) only needs one item that fits that particular slot.

In general with every set with the description can only equip 1. Specific sets would Solanea, Obelisk for engine etc. For weapons it would Ba'ul, Saboteur etc.

All those sets have the same problem, for example I want to equip the Prolonged engagement set, bad luck I can't because if I slot the console I can't equip the weapon vice versa.

Huh, that sounds odd indeed. Is it possible to take a screenshot of attempting to equip something (does it say something in the tooltip maybe?)

Only restriction that should apply is that you can't have more than one of each weapon or console (so only one beam or one cannon, one torpedo and just one console)

Tooltip says, you cannnot equip more than 1 item of that category.

Prolonged engagement beam equipped while trying to equip the power dynamo console.

It's the same with virtually any other set with 1 piece restriction

Hmm, just checked the tooltip always says that which means you can't equip more than one of that particular item. But that should not prevent your from equipping it. Weapons and consoles go to different slots anyway. Very odd.

that's exactly why I'm so lost right now on what to do.

You just have to equip Just the set you want, then match it up with either other different sets that work in that build or fill the rest of slots with non-set type gear. The devs made it so you cannot put multiple copies of the same set gear in same ship build.

There are a couple of sets that conflict with each other. Multiple set omni-beams, especially.

Try only equipping the set you are trying to then add other bits to find the conflict

I only want to equip 1 set and no other sets are equiped

You're already using another weapon of the type that is limited, such as types of omindirectional beams (one crafted and one mission, for example) or trying to equip both the prolonged engagement beam array AND dual heavy cannons.... only one of those can be used on a ship at a time.

It's not preventing you from equipping a weapon and console from the same set, the limit mentioned there is that you can't equip two copies of the same thing which you're not doing (unless you're trying to use the beam and the cannons at the same time, since they are considered the same weapon).

Which set are you trying to equip exactly? Are you saying the Prolonged Engagement set? Anyone else out there has this set? I don't have that set or i would try it. You should try reporting that to in-game help.
