Which faction is the best?

So the Romulans have the best uniforms, the best story, and the worst looking ships. The Federation has the best ships but the weakest story and the most dull uniforms and the Klingons are somewhere in between (although the revamped missions have put the Klingons higher and their new uniforms are pretty nice). I am curious what other people think.

With the exception of the Romulans that have a longer pre-story line, they all join the Fed (main) story line at the Vault mission. After that point it's all the same missions.

For all the pre-Vault stuff, I wouldn't necessarily say the Rom have the best story. For me the Classic Trek one's were more enjoyable so I think it's going to come down to which series you grew up watching.

If you go Rom and join with the Klingon's when you have to choose you'll then have access to the Klingon ships which gets you around the problem that Rom ships aren't the best.

All in all, a lot of people probably did as I did and created a character of each faction just to see the individual unique stories then have.

Yep, I just rolled three new toons to take advantage of the Delta system coming back. I usually go with a Federation Romulan character, but since my character is a Reman he may be more inclined to go Klingon. Haven't decided yet. I've played my KDF character through The Vault and then switched out. My Federation Ferengi captain is still cooling his heels at the academy. I haven't even gotten introduced to Taggart yet.

If you are a DPS chaser, Romulan (faction, not species), because they have access to science and engineering BOFFs with the "Superior Romulan Operative" trait, which is the best possible trait for DPS production.

Other factions can only get "Superior Romulan Operative" on tactical BOFFs (via Fleet Embassy vendor) and a half-powered version on the Jem'Hadar Vanguard BOFFs (from the Gamma expansion pack in the store, and then only one of each).

This means that, ultimately, a Romulan's "ceiling" for critical hit chance and critical severity is higher by +2 / +5 times however many science and engineer BOFFs you are using on your ship (minus one BOFF if you use the two JHVs).

All other sources of DPS are available to everyone (though not necessarily at equal cost).

um sorry the federation has the ugliest whoever can think those look nice I have no clue. but anyone can fly any ship now so its a moot point, Romulans get better Boffs but if you grind endeavors high enough it doesn't matter, in terms of faction stories I would say Rom>Fed>KDF>TOS>gamma>disco yes I rank the 10min jem'hadar tutorial higher then the disco start

No, the Romulan thing still matters even with endeavours, etc... because all other sources are equally available, so the Romulan would benefit from them also.
