Error on start up. "Failed System Specs Check''

I have an AMD Radeon HD 6790 (it's worked before). I installed through steam, Double-clicked the desktop icon. Loads up the patch page. I click Engage and i get a message saying;

''Failed System Specs Check

It has been detected that your computer configuration may not be able to run this application.

Your computer appears to be using an unsupported video card.
This application may run poorly or not at all.

Do you wish to attempt to run the application anyway?
Yes, with lowered settings
Yes, with default settings''

Bare in mind i've been able to play this before... Just, this is the message i'm getting now?

It shifted the graphics of mine to super awful - even when I go in and change them they still look exactly the same - its like the graphic settings do nothing!! Whats going on?

The few latest Crimson drivers from AMD are not detected correctly by the game, been so for a month or two already.

Ignore (run with default settings), and the game will run just fine.

The season 11.5 launch came with the lighting upgrade, so good idea to reset all graphics settings and also your renderscale setting (type /renderscale 1).

Also worth nothing, the new lighting only works with DX11, so if you are forcing DX9 via command line may need to remove that. For me anyway game has run @DX11 just fine for these couple days it's been out in comparison to before where DX11 kept crashing every 15min or so. Your experience may vary...

Thank you.. On another note, I'm stuck on a mission. Installation 18 out of sight? I've gone to the station, and fought the tal shahir... now i'm stuck? i've ran round the comms array like 5 times not knowing what to do? just beamed back to paradise city and no clue..

I had a similar messge saying that my Nividia Graphics drivers were outdated.

Actually i am getting that as well, i just ignore and (run with default settings). I have up to date drivers for my nvidia gtx 1050 ti. The STO game screen says something still about out of date video drivers but i figure the code in the game is faulty that checks for drivers.
