Depends how much you rate the bits and bobs I guess...
The difference here is that I only have the ONE character and I haven't explored the variety of ships, loadouts, factions, etc that are available. Methinks this is the sort of thing that you might gain with the LST - all of the above PLUS resources.
After half a year I really enjoy not thinking about the button every day.
But honestly, I'd wanted more convenience features for LTS. Because I've read that in the good old days one of the features was the external chat client support, very useful to catch the groups for elite STF and other stuff. What a shame it was removed. They could at least replace it with extended AFK-disconnect time or something...
If you have played for all that time OP, you should have enough wealth to be able to swim in it imo, I would suggest to spend a "little" less to unlock certain features instead of a LTS.
The main advantage for a new player is that it immediately gives one C-Store grade T6 ship for each faction; a Destroyer, which in STO terms is part way between a cruiser and an escort. Command being the specialisation is unfortunate. Romulan one looks the nicest in my opinion.
At 500 Zen per month, and $1 = 100 Zen, it will pay for itself in two and a half years.
Almost 8 years later and it has more than paid for itself in value. So you need to look longer term, if you want LTS, you'll need to commit to STO for the long term, but that is providing Cryptic are still developing the game past 2025 where the LTS starts to pay off.
