You can find it in your list of Admiralty ships if you're level 52+
Admiralty system is like the Duty Officer system, but with ships (cards). Most of it will be cards of ships you own, some it will be reward cards like that you don't actually own.
For clarity: Only the 'Epic' token can be redeemed for a ship, all other 'ships' are indeed Admiralty cards.
And that token is really rare, chances are very slim you will gt one from the week of free packs.
I have myself only ever gotten two of those, and that's from millions of spent dillithium on Phoenix crates.
Might have been unlucky, and probabilities being what they are, but yeah - 14 times or so of free packs? Could happen of course, but very unlikely.
That depends what you mean by 'waste'.
Admiralty cards can be very useful.
I will say though, it is poorly described in the token exchange window, so you have a point there.
No, it won't be. There is no such playable ship as an "Assimilated Assault Cruiser". It's only available as an admiralty card.
The epic ship cards that you can get are all pretty powerful and help a lot in getting crits on Admiralty missions, especially ones with particularly bad additional effects.
You can't. Those are not flyable ships, only admiralty cards, and at that level you do not yet have access to the admiralty system. (It unlocks at level 52 I believe).
Those are single use only, as are any cards with a {1x} on them.
Other than the AAC, there's about ten various permanent cards you can get via gameplay (one or two more from Phoenix, the Sally Ride you pick up in sector space, and I think six or seven others as various rewards - episodes, admiralty, reputations, recruitment). All of them (other than the AAC) have a specific name rather than a ship-type.
And then you get ones matching any flyable ships you have in inventory (this includes the free ships you earned while levelling up, if you still had them at or after level 52) or unlocked via event or zen purchase.
