Arc account question

Hi, so i have promo code but my account was automatically created when first launched. Now i need to enter promo code but how do i login to arc account when i never created one?

Whatever username and password you used is your Arc game account. Goto the arcgame website and login then redeem webpage.

I'm having the same issue. @running-target, the arc account is created completely automatically, you don't get a password or email address. It just appears, linked to your steam account, and logs in when you start the game through steam.

@Majk do you remember if you set a password? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't.

I have the same problem as well. Steam apparently creates an account automatically and logs in with it, but where do you see your login data ??? Can someone answer that?

This is why you don't use arc. Or and link anything related to perfect world

Once you do the information and all between steam and the ARC account you use when you log in change.. It uses the information on "Steam" instead

which they do not tell you about. half the time just going and doing a password reset works but it is a 50/50 chance it will or will not work cause perfect world doesn't really care.(In this case you should just contact them and request too have the steam account you linked be undone "un-link steam with arc" and do not ever link them together

On another note (this is optional not forcing anyone to do this but I just also wanna throw this out there)

There is a way to just launch the game without using perfect worlds horrible and deceptive would be punk buster style security called ARC

This is why I would never link anything with ARC cause perfect world screws up all the time

ARC is an extremely vulnerable liability.

If you guys had tried reading up on perfect worlds infamous reputation for being one of the worse gaming companies cause they are cheap and lazy (typical stereo type chinese gaming company)

They spend as less as they can on making sure account security is below acceptable.


Its as if you just had punk buster installed false sense of security for ya?

I would recommend you contact them and request them too remove your and you're linked steam accounts

unless you want all that information to be sold off around others like facebook does.

Oh yeah they do that thus why a lot of the vet players from the days when atari was still around all the way till 2013 when they all began to leave mostly cause perfect worlds reputation once again struck.

I seriously would recommend you guys just not use arc

you can launch the game without arc just look into the folder and find the Startrek online_US etc and launch it that way

be warned though once you launch it through the stand alone launcher without arc


It will no longer work with arc unless you uninstall arc and STO and reinstall


why does this happen? cause perfect world created a poorly secure and unstable platform that doesn't do what perfect world states it does.

And yes I have done this and for over what how long has arc been around? I never used it to launch the game cause I have the CD...

4? 6 yrs? and they have never thought "Oh, let us fix this"

I found no way to recover it, so i just recovered old account.

Ok, so it seems to be impossible to redeem any codes or vouchers over a Steam STO install, since you cannot log into the Arc website over Steam and the Steam email and login data doesn't work with Arc?
So if you make a separate Arc account, there's currently no way to transfer your Steam content onto it?
Man, that sucks! Got the same problem RN and Arc support doesn't answer.

I don't remember HOW I did it, but I originally created my account with Steam and then found out how to log in elsewhere and have it still be the same account... which is what you need to do. (This was about five years ago though....)

As for support - I've found in the past that they usually don't reply on weekends.
