What you are looking for is ships that have a Pilot spec on a Commander-level BOFF seat. Those (for all the specs) are the only ships that get the special features.
I'm not including lockbox/lobi ships in this... but my vote for store/shipyard ships, if you have it, would be the Legendary Defiant, or something similar (a 5/3 warship/cruiser type).
Thanks, that was a big help for me. It does though lead to a good news/bad news situation of there not being much to decide between, with lots of duplicates reducing the field further. And nothing in the lobi store.
I almost wrote "money is no object" in the original post, but after looking at what it takes to acquire that ship, turns out I did have a limit. You're probably right though, that looks like the obvious winner.
Personally I used the Icarus for ages until getting the Deimos in the recent long-running free ship campaign. I guess it mostly comes down to the small differences between them, like if you want something with Raider Flanking, or prefer certain BOff Specialisations.
I love it
That's why I said "if you have it" (as in already). I'm not aware but if there are other options that are 5/3s, they would probably be good choices as well.
Well, the Kwejian is 5/3, and gets a raider flanking bonus on top of that. However, I think I may be too superficial to fly something that looks like a dollar store plastic comb, even if it's objectively better.
That's a neat and tidy time saver, thanks.
