The Chase - Frozen Bug

I am doing the mission, "The Chase - Frozen" where you follow the Reman ship. I defeated the last Romulan ship, the Mogai Heavy Warbird, but the Reman ship won't decloak so I can follow it.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe look around for a beacon and head toward it, check the mini map for a circle to head toward. Maybe look around for a Trail of smoke, the reman scout was damaged and leaking smoke. Look for a Button "Warp to the Reman scout ship's coordinates." or science off message.

If you are in any instance mission and think you have a Bug stopping you from completing that mission, try the following tips:

1. Read the mission details and the tasker for directions and important information that you might be missing. Check the STO forum and wiki and google for a walkthrough of that mission to determine if you are not doing the mission correctly.
2. Beam out of mission, then continue the mission at the place you come back to.
3. Beam out of mission, Drop that mission, pick that mission and try again.
4. Beam out of the mission, log off of STO then log back into STO, then continue that mission. Maybe also try rebooting computer and router at this point. Many problems like this with the game stem from poor or faulty Network connection between your computer and the game servers. Check and troubleshoot your network connection to the game servers.
5. Beam out of mission, Skip that mission if it is in a chain. Check the bug forum and google for a workaround or if it is known bug. Report the problem in a bug report? Try that mission again in a month or two.

Started STO up, then I tested the mission, found the same results as the OP. Warping out and back didn't help. Drop mission and retried it. Noticed the reman ship warp out from the last cluster of asteroids on map. No change in Follow Reman Scout. Call the mission bugged, file a bug report.

Encountered the same bug, tried severals times without success.

It seems I cant skip it either, I dropped the mission and got the same mission again from the admiral. is there no workaround

how do I get passed this mission, I can only dropped it, but the I get it again from the admiral right after.

That "Feature" has yet to have a fix... But since it's a cutscene "feature", and if I was affected by it... I would exit game after beaming/warping out then exit game, change the options to patch on demand, and then hit Verify game files.. once finished, log back in, and run the mission again..

Perhaps the issue is something is either failing to ask for X files to then script, or something else is failing to hear the request for X files to script and run.. patching on demand would change the source of where X files are coming from (you would DL them when they are needed)

But that is just something I would try as a fix if i had this "feature" issue..

In the Episode list, you can Skip over it if you get your skip button to it. Go through the list from the start, every episode in the episode list, look for the skip button. Keep skipping till it get to the one you need skipping. You can ignore the quest givers suggestions.

I Tried your method on Frozen, did Not help.

When can we expect an update, I rather not skip any missions.

Maybe never, maybe next month, maybe 6 months, maybe a year from now. Cryptic don't fix bugs much. Did you, the forum readers, put a bug report in on this?

Looks like there was no fix for it in the recent patch.

Given this is essentially a progress blocking bug for new players trying to do all the story in order, they'll probably actually look at it reasonably quickly.

That, or they'll just mark the entire story arc as next in line for removal, because nobody really cares about the New Romulus story making sense anymore.

still frozen and bugged. Cannot get around this. Was really enjoying game until now. Can this be bypass been trying for days to get around this part in the story.

I was forced to skip the mission. I saw the end of the mission on youtube

In the patch notes for 10/10

"Addressed an issue that prevented progress in the mission "Frozen" while following the Reman scout."

Try it out later today.
