Verification email...
Hey there,

I installed the game on my laptop and in the launcher it says they sent a verification mai with a one time code.

I did not get it. I checked spam folder, I put them to my whitelist, I contacted support, waited, tried to re-login... I installed the ARC launcher but that does not see the game installed...

what the hell must I do to log in to my freaking game? :(

are you trying to use the entire email as the login? if so thats incorrect you must use the username

I try to login with my account, that I normally use on my PC and now I want to play on my laptop but it is the first time I play on it so it says I need to verify.

You can use the email associated with your account to log in, actually. The launcher accepts account name/email.

Yes I use them but I cannot pass the launcher ingame, since it says I need to put in a verification code that has been sent to me via email since it is the first time I try to play STO on that new computer (my laptop). Sadly I do not get that email, so I cannot go into the game.

Easiest way is to try again with a different email adress from a common provider like gmail or so.

So I would have to change my account information, hmmm okay. I will consider that. Maybe the support will at some point answer and find s solution. If not, I will try to change the adress then I guess.

Just wait, certain times of day it's near instantaneous other time it takes up to an hour to come through.

Its like almost 4 hours now, but I will wait, yes. Nothing more I can do at the moment, since I am not at home and my laptop is the only device I have with me.

Support may just need some time to reply. It´s still sunday. Keeping employees work on weekends isn´t cheap.

I'm not sure OP will get a reply from support today. Not even sure if most of Cryptic is in-office unless something catastrophic happens.

I got a replay. They gave me another one for the whitelist. If it does not work they want me to contact them again :)

hotmail isn't that bad, you just need to remember where you told your email to send certain things, and you can search for emails through the search feature

search is a basic part of most email systems now. Personally, I have a hotmail account I made years ago and used to sign up for stuff so don't want to delete, but I have my Steam account associated with a gmail address.
