And if u have a friend helping you they spawn in an insane amount of ships and you get like a ton of drops there. Did 2 missions of them and had like 10 or more MK12 drops.
But thanks for the input so far, will check out that too. Keep it coming.
Patrol missions in general are very "target rich" and as such also loot rich.
Also every story line mission has "check points" (save/respawn points) that you start from should you die or exit the mission... which you can use to farm loot or "accolade kills" (I ran Skirmish exiting from mission before entering the bridge then "continuing" mission to kill the Cardies until getting 1k kills (30 something kills each run through)...
The Mission Midnight is a good space mission to farm exiting just before the point where "help comes to open the portal"..
Argala is yesterday's news for that sort of thing, though if you're just starting out it's probably a good place to level ships and such.
The newer patrols with timed/endless spawns of ships are the place to farm salvage and the like so long as you have a fast-kill AOE build. A high damage science build based on GW3, or a high damage pets/FAW type build (certainly if you have the sentry mode console) will net you a truly ridiculous amount of items in a single run. You can gain enough xp to go from MR0 to MR5 on a new ship in a single patrol on Normal...
On advanced for sure get mastery done in one...haven't even tried normal in ages.
Just remember to attack head on for dealing full damage..
