Arguably the very best ships aren't even in the shop, but that's beside the point.
What kind of ship are you looking for?
In TFOs I sometimes see cool ships that are the biggest one I've seen so far but I cant say I've seen those in the ZEN shop so hard to tell.
Think is, I dont know If I want to keep playing Fleet after reaching 65 and when I buy one Fleet ship I might be stuck with that one.
Ok. Yamato (dreadnought) and Battlecruiser are actually very different beastss One is a slow whale and the other fast and agile (not escort fast though).
So which ever style fits you...
However the Arbiter (T6 battlecruiser) has one of the best ship traits in the game for tactical (Emergency Weapon Cycle) so I highly recommend that one. The bundle for that though is cross faction so maybe not ideal as a bundle. Could just get the single ship then and save zen for something else (ec cap raise, account bank, bank slots, inventory slots usually the most important things to get).
Personally on my tactical I use the Gagarin (miracle-worker battlecruiser) which is a bit more specialized version of the Arbiter.
If you have checked the news feed on the launcher you may have noticed a brand new one Inquiry class (Rikers ship from the new Picard tv show) but that is an R&D box promo ship which are the hardest to get (pure rng)... https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11477813-command-the-inquiry-class-battlecruiser%21
Ps. Regarding Fleet ships. They do have the highest number stats, but they do not come with ship special consoles or ship traits. Those can only be acquired from the Z-Store versions. However if you own a Z-Store version of given ship, the fleet version will be cheaper to get (1 fsm instead of 5 fsm).
Well if the bundle is cross faction I think its a good thing, cause thats what I anticiapte. Maybe I will play a Klingon after that or a Romulan. And having a free ship on that race would hit two flies in one clap. I guess
Well I think I need to check out what those T6 ships look like in the game and how different they are to each other, if differences are so huge its better to know beforehand for sure.
I am not a fan of new kurtzman trek. Trying to avoid stuff from it as much as possible to be frank.
The 31st Century and Cardassian Cross-Faction ship bundles are also good starting points - Either will get you 3 T6 ships that each support different playstyles(attack ship; tanky bruiser; science/space magic platform) and can be used on any character, regardless of faction. The Cardassian bundle also throws in the Classic T5 Galor ship as an extra bonus for buying the bundle instead of getting them individually. Additionally, the Cardassian ships also give you access to their unique Spiral Wave Disruptors from the dilithium store.
If you've never purchased anything from the Zen Store though; my first recommendations are to get the EC Cap Increase and some Account Bank Slots. The Romulan Morrigu Warbird is also highly recommended for it's Starship Trait that is _extremely_ useful for any ship running Energy Weapons. There is a bundle or two for the Morrigu, but I wouldn't really call them a value unless you really want the other stuff that comes with them. Otherwise, these 'essentials' aren't effected by this sale.
Lastly, I guess my final potential Bundle Recommendation might be the Garagin/Qugh Bundle. They are both the current gold standard for Battlecruisers/tanky-dps, and their Starship Trait can be very useful to have. That said, if you don't plan to make any KDF-aligned characters, it may be better to wait until just the Gargarin is on Sale by itself.
Like in Waframe there exists an 25% 50% and even a 75% discount on buying their platinum und and if you really want to you can get that with some tricks.
2. How often there is something on sale in the ship? Like right now a couple of bundles are on 20% on discount. Is that forever or really just for a short period of time?
So you get only one of those consoles when you buy them and need to swap that item onto other ships? What happens if you by accident sell or destroy it!?
So far its pretty hard to make a decision.
I'd love to get a cross-faction bundle. And the bigger ones are always only cruisers or only explorers. So u get like 6 or 9 ships but they are all the same type.
Id like to take a bundle for one faction that has all 3 ship types in it or a 6 or 9 ship bundle whit the same thing.
And I like more the big ships than smaller ones.
2. Kind of the same answer. There almost always something on a discount, keep an eye on the store.
Most special consoles can be used on any ship (faction restrictions apply). No worries if you misplace one, just reclaim the ship from c-store, pickout the console, and dismiss the ship.
Personally I don't like the really big bundles (really expensive too) as I would indeed get a bunch of ships I probably would not never use. The three ship bundles are best value, atleast for me.
"Es ist Montag und ich musste mir was gutes tun"
Got me the Narendra and the Arbiter as single ship, and an inventory slot package.
The mind was strong but the flesh was weak. ;)
