arc games client instal problem

hi, i seem to be unable to install the arc games client, every time i try to instal it, i get this message 'another instance of Arc setup is already running. Please wait until it's finished and then try again', the problem is that i don't know what that other instance is, i tried uninstaling Star trek online, but that didn't work, so i am now lost as to have I'm surposed to do, I've sent a ticket about the problem to the developers, but their so slow to respond.

Did you make sure you didn't have another copy of the arc installer running according to your Task Manager?

yep, i restarted my computer beforhand

huh. You don't need Arc to play STO.

No you don't.

if you go to arcgames.com/en/redeem and login to your STO account there, you can redeem the code without Arc.

if i had know about that, i wouldn't have uninstaled STO, why didnt arc customer sevises tell me about that

Cause they want you to use Arc, not Steam.

Either way, Arc should have recognized your Steam install of STO anyway.

well, I'm abot 47% way throught reinstaling STO, i hope that all my toons are still there

It's an MMO, your characters are saved on the server, not your own computer.
