How to get good Boffs with good traits?

Its time.
I am trying to get my ships equipped with Boffs that have good traits.
Turns out 90% of my Boffs have ground traits. sad.
Only one that stands out so far is Nar which I got from a story mission and the Borg women I got from a bundle.

How do I get Boffs with other traits?
is it completely random and you need to just dismiss the ones that are not having good traits!?
Also have some Boffs still in my inventory I havent activated yet as I need to first make a list with the nicest traits to have.

Do you mean duty officers? Boffs always have both ground and space abilities.

No u read correctly, I meant Boffs.
Their traits are RNG. They can have absolutely no space traits or all 4 of them are space traits.
As I said 90% of my Boffs have mostly ground traits. Just two or three of them have space traits.

Most are going to cost you 160k Fleet Creds + 40k Refined Dil from one of the different Fleet holding assets... IE Kentari, Krenim, 23rd C etc...

And since I know of your interest in Min/Maxing your DPS etc.. the following added info will be of use...

Do note that Kentari Boffs only get a single 5 stack of Kentari Ferocity damage that builds up during combat.. Having 2+ is redundant since you only get 1 stack up to 5 during battle...

Whereas Boffs like the Nausicaan/Hierarchy gives a single flat always active space all damage buff when assigned to a station that do each stack with each other as does Cardassians space trait Photographic Memory..

Not all Boffs have both space AND Ground.. Orion Boffs only have ground traits (Love it when mine use their Seduce trait with that floating pink heart).. There are also a few other Boffs that have only ground too, like the EMH holo etc...

Kentari, Krenim , Weyoun?
But I also should buy Romulan Male Boffs.

What I dont get is.....when buying those are the traits fixed or are they rng!?
So do you buy one and you are done....you get what you want or do you have to buy multiple until you get the one that rolls what you want!?!?!!?!?
Like do they come with that SPO trait or?

Traits are not RNG. You are guaranteed to get a SRO Romulan as long as you buy the correct bridge officer. Right-clicking the boff in the store should give you a list of their traits, iirc.

The Embassy quality Rare (Blue) Male Tactical Boff has the Superior Romulan Operative trait (2% CrtH / 5% CrtD)
The female Rare (blue) just has mid Romulan Operative (1.5% CrtH / 3.8% CrtD) as will the Uncommon Boffs (Green)

As far as i know only Krenim Boffs have RNG traits (2 of them).. Their Temporal space trait though does "break" the Boff Minimum Cooldown reduction cap rule...

Example: If Boff ability base cool down is 1 minute and the max reduction is a 30 second cap off the 60 base (can't be reduced lower than 30)... the Temporal trait makes that 30 seconds pass in 27 secs (time passes 10% faster for each Krenim, IE 2 Krenim Tactical Boffs gives +20% faster time) you still have the same Min reduction cap, but remaining capped time passes "faster" for you..

I Currently use a pair of Kremin Tactical Boffs and a Kentari Sci Boff with an Aux2Batt build..

I just checked both cost around 160k fleet credits which I just spend 250k on unlocking an additional starship trait!

Damn, back to farming fleet marks with TFOs!

Don't forget the "free" (needs diplomacy rank 4) Nausicaan ENG boff with pirate trait form ambassador at ESD.
