STO Free to play looking to trade items for a 30-45 mil ec lockbox ship
Hello
I have been playing STO for quite some time, but being a free to play with the restrictions makes the game a bit old after a while, after having a break of about a year and a bit (2013-2014) and getting a new email informing me of a free T6 ship i was ecstatic, but after realising it was just a normal ship with a decent console that doesnt suit the ships long distance fight style made me less happy, but still happy ti get a great ship, and after leaving after a month of playing with it and leaving again from 2014-2017, only startig to play it again because why not, and havign most campaigns finished and the game being a dull grind, i thought of getting a new ship but with me squeezing most content out of the game already, i didnt want to buy one. So I am asking is anyone willing to trade a tier5/6 lock box ship for 9.5 mil ec, 25 mil ec worth in items and r and d, and a key(got from dilithium)

Because of the Infinity lockbox. Since it can drop any T5 ship upon getting that prize, there's a a nigh infinite supply of any of these old ships. Much like Lobi ships, which are at a fixed price with no supply limit.

Second factor (at least for the D'Kora) is the Nagus Marauder that was given out, a flatout better-in-every-way version of the same ship at T6, which can be customized to look like a D'kora.

Anyone having the Nagus doesn't need the T5 marauder anymore.

erm??? the infinity lockbox was released more than 1 year ago dude.. that is not the reason. Ships like the narcine carrier always have been really expensive, no matter the inifinity lockbox or other reasons. If i am so surprised is because i cant find any logical explanation lol.

And same for the D'kora, its not because of the nandy, it is because the D'kora is a canon ship and has some fancy features like doff assignments, vendor, etc. thats the reason that ship was so expensive... not because it is the only ferengi ship lol (seriously sub-zero i thought you were a veteran player...). In fact, 2 years ago when the nandy was released, the D'kora was still amazingly expensive and ithas been that way until 2 or 3 weeks ago..

Is like if suddenly players realized that it is stupid to put those prices.. i wish people will have that common sense more often lol.

The age of the Infinity box is exactly the reason for this price drop (which will most likely continue), plus new T6 offerings of existing ships from at least some of them. Basic supply vs. demand.

The box keeps getting re-run every time a new lockbox is anounced, thus these ships drop again and again. Odds are, the Infinity box will remain around for good, as it serves to award past lockbox rewards which new players missed out on otherwise. With its plethora of content, the box gets opened a lot.

With ever increasing supply but low demand for T5s, naturally the price drops. I've seen purple ships dipping under 40 milion. Including your beloved Narcine which isn't "really expensive" anymore at all.

Also in your reference to the D'kora. I wasn't talking about the Nandi, I was talking about the T6 Nagus marauder that was awarded to a select few players. It is more or less the same ship, just at T6 with improvements on it.

http://sto.gamepedia.com/Ferengi_Nagus_Marauder

As you can clearly see, it has the same interior as the D'kora with the exact same amenities. It even comes with a better version of the Battle-module console.

I bought a D'kora when it dropped into the 45 million range.

If you wanna sell yours for 100 mil, go ahead, no one will buy it until the market price will go up there again, it ever will. D'koras aren't exactly rare anymore. This is different from the Cardassian and Dominion ships which have been replaced by T6s entirely. That's why the Galor for example will remain valuable (because the ship itself is now a collectible you can't get anymore) while the Nagus did not replace the D'kora in the box.

Maybe it's taken this long to saturate the market with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ t5 and basic t6 or whatever. Never know.. they dont release the numbers, I'd imagine.

Prices do drop when the infinity boxes spit out lots of t5's but the prices quoted here seem insanely low for them in the current market on pc.

The narcine is a decent (better than the t6 jupiter) ship so IF it truly is that cheap I'd not be surprised for it to be snapped up and reappear later at a much higher price.

The dkora as a ship isnt anything great BUT it does have doff missions and full access to the exchange and bank which makes it desirable so again I'd expect the gougers to snap them up for resale.

Please note:
n3mes1s is a forum troll feeding alot of false info;
the d'kora and narcine are in the t5 infinity lockbox prize, hance the price of only 40-50m because later they will be upped to t6 and they will be removed from there and in to the t6 one and they will go for 300m (the t6 upped ones)
The Fact that He said that D'kora is 500m is false, it hasn't hit over 60m in maany months, and the highest t5 ship costs 200m, and those ships are the ones that got their t6 versions and were removed from the T5 Infinity Purple prize pack which is what will happen to all other t5 lockbox ships that will get the up to t6

Also The infinity box along with Delta Rising Made the price of t5 ships drop due to these facts:
1. Ppl think that T5 is Worse Than T6
2. Tons of T5 Poped from lockboxes due to infinity box, which as a rather nice chance for popin them i say..
3. Most Ppl now know that they will get nerfed when the ship is re-released in the t6 version

Infinity Changed the game.. Leeches used to be 60m per... now they're like under 3m per..
Kemocite was like 100m.. now it's like 4m per.. Vonph was 700m.. now it's 125m..
it is because of supply and demand.. and supply exceeds demand due to infinity box.

I'd say the denuos dread is a better ship that the narcine but only if you get hold of the destroyer that gives the frigate pet unlock. They removed the subsystem targetting in favour of the temporal deconstruction beam which is far more effective. And off the top of my head it has a decent pet based trait as well, at least I think thats where the beam overload for pets one comes from.

As a budget option the narcine is the best carrier a fed side can get though and it's easily better to fly that the jupiter.

Both frigate pets have the current issue of no engine speed.

The Bulwark is in the phoenix prize pack now, so it technically reruns whenever the phoenix box is given out again.

Yea and so is the JHAS t5.. But those are not tradable from the phoenix prize pack.
