Build advice
Hey all! Just came back from a very very long hiatus =P

Bought myself a T6 Jupiter

Using 4 MK 14 Coalition Disruptors, 2 omni directional lasers (borg kinetic and disruptor)

All eng slots are EPS (440% transfer)

All sci are + % shields

All tac are + Disruptor dmg

Using 2 advanced Peregrine fighters (I have 2 elite callisto escorts, but there so slow they never get to the fight lmao)

I tend to die... quite alot lol. Even in normal PvE ques, usually one shot in the advanced one. I'm thinking I could xfer some of the EPS out, was using a Jem'Hadar Dread carrier.

You probably ought to add some more resists to your ship. Fragility is very common if your resists aren't decent.

You can get an enhanced Neutronium alloy from the Fleet Research Lab, or the Trellium-D engineering console from "Ragnarok," although any neutronium will work as long as it's mk XII VR+

As I understand it the EPS conduits increase energy gain yeah? My weapon power will stay higher with them while laser are firing VS not having them. Just read on the wiki that it does NOT effect regen. But in the same paragraph it says it does lmao.

i bet you are flying a carrier like a cruiser or an escort also. Carrier is a science ship so your job is to hang back and let your swarm of fighters annoy the target and then you can fire.

I'm pretty used to flying carriers. Was using the Jem'Hadar Dread Carrier before this =P

EPS (as far as I know) only affects energy transfer, not regen. Like after you exit full impulse. That, and engineering consoles have diminishing returns so the 4th or 5th instance is of a console is probably useless.

Either way, you still need to boost your damage resists.

EPS consoles only good for transfer of power between the subsystem settings. To use a EPS effectively, you need to be switching between power settings rapidly per situation. You only need one EPS console. Get some armor resists console and hull heal console instead of 2 EPS.
"The EPS Flow Regulator is an Engineering Console that improves the power transfer rate between systems. It is helpful in recovering from power loss caused by full impulse."

Well ♥♥♥♥ lol... I never change power settings. I guess having 4 of those is completely pointless =P

Question, do those consoles affect skills like all power to weapons?

Well the Jupiter Carrier is totally different ship from the Dreadnought Carrier. It is a science ship design having 3 weapon slots up front and more science slots. Ideally, a Science captain or Engineer would be better driving the Jupiter. ( i only have Science and Engineer Captains)

I bought the Jupiter becuase I wanted the callisto escorts. (But they ended up being complete garbage IMO, even the elite ones)

It would of cost me 1.5 billion (years of gameplay lmao) to get the Jem'Hadar frigates =(

I guess I could go back to the Jem'Hadar ship, all I'm losing is some shields and hull.

Guy in video said EPS Flow Regs don't help the space skills Power to Subsystem and battery power rate.

@Machete. Wait for the Phoenix Prize Pack to come aroun again, and but a few. If you get an Ultra-rare token, buy the T5 JHAS. Easy JHAS pets.

With a carrier, I would dedicate energy to weapons, auxilary and shields (in that priority order) and engines last. You can manually adjust the power settings.

Also if you die a lot in Jupiter, you will die a lot more often in a Jem'Hadar carrier. Review your bridge officer powers, as using the right ones is crucial. My general guideline is: NO ship leaves spacedock without at least tactical team I, engineering team I, emergency power to shields II or III, hazard emitters I or II and science team I or II. Which rank of these powers to use depends entirely on the ship, but the Jupiter should have tons of room for healing powers.
