Anyone ever buy anything useful with Latinum?

I checked my assets inventory and found out I've gathered a little over 9,000 units of gold-pressed latinum, but somebody told me in practice it's useless as currency- anyone disagree with this sentiment?

You use it to play dabo to complete the occasional PE. That's about it.

Only good uses of latinum after buying the club wear, and some sunglasses on risa I think, is using it in DOFF missions to trade for contraband or to buy entertainment provisions in the hopes of getting Entertainment Officer Holograms (green, blue or purple variant depending on mission).

Since they upped the dabo betting cap I yolo it all on dabo whenever I have a dabo endeavor. Other than that it's mostly for cosmetic consumables.
