New Romulus Questline - Starting Bug/Issue
Hello all.

A strange bug appears to be affecting one of my friends that play this game - and am posting here on his behalf in the hope that anyone knows how to get around it.

Here's the deal - he recently finished the "Borg Advance" episode and was a little under level 50 when he did. Upon speaking to the Romulan Ambassador at Earth Spacedock to start the "New Romulus" episode, he was told he needed to be level 50 in order to start it.

He did a few Task Force missions to get above 50 and then came back to pick the quest back up again. However, he can't. The Ambassador will not give any quest. He has apparently gone to New Romulus in an attempt to find the quest there as well, to no avail. I have also hopped on and attempted to share the mission for him in a team. The first one cannot be replayed so I couldn't share it and the second one said he didn't meet the requirements for the quest (presumably because you need to play the first one in order to unlock advancement).

Anyone got any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply - you know what, you may be onto something there. I was assuming he was skipping the Task Force missions on his way through, but maybe this one slipped his mind - as the "Skip" button is indeed available AND it's on his active quests log.

Hey he'll need the marks one way or another, might as well do that one lol. He'll need uh... a couple thousand marks of each rep lol.

You do have a point there. Let's hope this will fix his issue. I am sure a Picard Face Palm will ensue if this indeed is all that was wrong.

He got around it in the end. Skipping it wouldn't work but completing it did. Thank you again for your help!

No problem. And if your friend don't realize it yet, let him know TFOs are the most rewarding content in the game and always worth doing. Though watch out the Tzenkethi crap and Days of Doom. Ideally you pop Defense of Starbase One, Gates of Grethor, Swarm, or Romulan Minefield, I think those are the four most ideal in terms of time to reward ratio. Using random of course. Only que for a specific if you need it for a mission, and only if you tried to get it once and failed on random. You'll find your rewards doubling or tripling in that case. Just some tricks you might find useful. Happy huntings!
