Proton in Linux: Star Trek: Online Hangs After I Click "Engage."

Sympton: After I click in Engage, the launcher hangs and "Wine Program Loader" keeps appearing even when I told GNOME to wait until the game starts running. If this helps, I do have Wine 3.21 installed in my system, although each Proton game has its own WINEPREFIX, so I thought I could try to install DirectX 11 (43) but to no avail using winetricks.

Any way I can resolve the problem according to the output from the terminal? Any help so far would be appreciated.

Looks like you need to install dx11 or get a dx11-compatible system. I know nothing of Linux, it is not supported by Cryptic, and I'm not sure how much exposure posting on these forums would give you anyway. Try the subreddit.

I've been a lurker in Reddit and I have not signed up ever sense. I don't know where I can find a forum appropriate for Ptoron-related topics given that a search for "Proton" reveals people in other forums talking about Proton and getting Windows-only games working in Linux. Thanks.
