Initial Patch Taking Forever

Hi All,
I know this has been in a number of discussions but I haven't found a solution to the problem. The problem is that the initial patch of STO (around 23GB) is taking forever to download. I have had the patch running all night long (around 7hrs as of this post) and it still has only completed around 18%. Is this the standard when first loading the game? Any commands that increase speed? Have tried a range of things from turning off on-demand patching to restarting the launcher, though still has the same download rate. Really want to get into this game though, is hard to when problems like this occur.

What's your normal download speed? The initial download can take a while since the launcher is downloading the game.

Don't know if there's any fix besides getting to a place with internet with a faster download speed.

At that speed, it'll take you about 2.4 days to completely download STO, unless you meant megabytes instead of megabits.

I dunno. I get a costant about 2 megabytes per second download (through Steam), it's not too painful. I wouldn't wish it on anyone though.

STO might be a faster download though - the launcher is not helpful in that regard.

2.4? where did you come with that number, i can download STO in under a day with 10mbps

The game sometimes breaks and updates continuously, eating up data. For real.
