Was years ago now though.
Yea, the steath skills and some of the other buffs got hit with nerfs, (you used to be able to get both stealth buffs going at once)
Never stopped playing, just stopped caring about the e-peen DPS race, lol
My current fav build, is a Polaron based power drain build, can drop just about any sub elite NPC in the game to a helpless husk :) and can do so with alot of the Elites. As nice as that sounds though, most of the time the thingie is dead before I can shut it down in the Queues, lol.
-I also use some rapid fire plasma gun as a tool. -It melt stuf, quite rapidly
EDIT: Both of those are unbuffed aside from hive mind with everyone in our group and with MK XV Epic weapons and modules.
If you buff stacked I imagine it would probably be somewhere in the 80K+ range on the science and probably around 50-60k on tactical. Will have to attempt that now as I'm curious. I've never really needed the additional damage since mostly kill bosses almost instantly with our group.
Full science burst with everything used 1 time plus Boolien Cannon is somewhere in the 80-120k region. Am full burst science though. I figure why defend if you can just nuke all mobs. Most of my abilities are on GCD. So I can almost spam modules as long as procs are going fairly well and I have GCD on weapon alt fire like 85-90% of the time. I actually have found it to out damage my equally geared tactical by a small amount with much stronger AOE and CC since everything I touch gets perma rooted, with a roughly 70%+ uptime on stun or frozen and everything gets -65 damage resistance.
Science can be stronger than tactical on ground if properly built but it takes some unusual approaches to achieve and requires more top tier equipment to achieve. Definately better to go tactical if you want an easy source of DPS early on but less amazing comparitively later on.
