Romulan v Fed/Klingon

Weather you prefer the Federation or the Klingon Empire, is there any reason to not play a Romulan?

Now, not really. Prior to Victory Is Life, Romulans couldn't use allied T6 ships (and they still can't use a few ships).

In my case, my Romulan can't have a battlecloaking sovereign.

Eh, might just stick with my Romulan then, the Faeht Intel Warbird is basically the exact type of ship I'm going for and the Fed equivalency Phantom Intel Escort doesn't come with an Enhanced Romulan Battle Cloak lol

I like my faeht. Bit fragile, but it's fun since my kdfrom is about my only escort-flying character.

Well crap. Guess I'm making a Feddie then. I know that ship isn't one that I'll get anytime soon, but it is one I'd like to fly.

You could go with a non-Romulan Fed and a KDF-aligned Romulan. One to aim for the Dreadnought down the line and the other to fly the Faeht or a gadzillion other cloaking ships. Would also let you see most story missions in the game except for the early KDF stuff, which are a bit crap anyways, because visitiong the Klingon afterlife is a) a bit far on the science fanrasy end of the sci-fi spectrum and b) something that doesn't even make sense if you're not actually Klingon-Klingon.

That list is the list of ships that allied Romulans cannot fly. "This includes all allied ships EXCEPT: (list of ships, which includes the Kelvin Dreadnought)."

It was probably simpler to make a list of what Romulans cannot fly, since there's a ton of c-store and fleet ships that they can.

Fleet ships have more hull, a higher shield mod, and an additional console slot.

Fleet ships are however a character-exclsuive non-reclaimable unlock (like lockbox/lobi ships). Probably why I don't bother with them myself.

After looking through the ships of the various factions, I just get the feeling that Cryptic favors Federation & Romulans over KDF. I keep hearing the early story of Klingon is kind of odd and that BoP's are kind of crap, are the KDF Battle Cruisers & Raptor's any fun/good?
