Upgrade Weekend

So, like a newb i missed it. been checking in and playing every weekend for like 4 months and I take 2 weeks off and *******. How often are they?

They average 3 to 4 months in a cycle.

Worth waiting for it though. My strategy is to hoard dilithium for a phoenix box event, open as many as possible once it comes around (happens about as often as an upgrade weekend btw) and convert anything I don't want to tech upgrades.

Once the upgrade weekened rolls around, I usually can get at least 1 ship setup to mk XIV all around and then some. Getting stuff to epic will most likely take several of those stunts, if you really care about that that is.

Sure, you gonna spend a ton of dil, but its still less than using crafted upgrades, nevermind the fact you spend 0 EC this way. Plus, you might even get lucky and get limited time items you like.

The difference between upgrading in an upgrade event or not is inmense. In the meantime, as a similary way as sub-zero, i keep piling up romulan upgrades, omegas, phoenix, etc, etc lol. And then, im not in a hurry when the upgrade even kicks in, i use all of em :p and of course i only use the ones that does not require dilithium (basically the ones i named, or the ones from events or featured episodes, like the universal , etc).

This is what smart people do, anyways. Trying to upgrade something out of an upgrade event its insanely expensive.

This requires too much investment. I play this game once a year, I dump dilithium.

Then, sorry to say it but you shouldnt be playing at all. Im pretty sure you can find a million more better games that will call you to play more than once a year. Obviously you dont enjoy the game not even a bit, so why play at all?

I think it's a fun game and all but it doesn't have much to do in it other than dress my ship in a pretty new pink dress every once in a while. This game is not that amazing, I just like Star Trek.

Seeing as nearly everybody has basically said **** that to the colony holding, at least the small fleets then I would say cryptic will have more phoenix events. Like all the zen related sales lately.

Can't have us hoarding dil can we, those freeloading scum must pay.
