Omega locations???
It says "the locations in your mission log" but I don't see anything anywhere. The text says "the most social locations"" and I've gotten the list of possibles from the intarwebz, but can't find which 3 in the quest, the mission logs (search found only the text).....

Help?

One needs to pick the daily up from Q at one of the academies. Each day there are 3 specific locations (space or ground) for the quest. The rest of the time the omega particles remain active at 'social areas' for the purposes of farming for research.

If you've already picked up the quest, look in available missions or current missions tabs for the specifics and don't forget to turn it back in to Q to reset the timer.

Hope that helps/

The interwebz will NOT help you for this daily. You need to have this daily mission on the Tasker list under the mini-map.The locations change every day or even every character running it so you Need to follow directions to the letter of the daily. Learn to use your Map to find the circle with the actual omega particles in it. Also your tricorder scan will point toward the location of the circle. Make sure you set that daily mission as Primary. The particles actually dissappear and move after a short time or when they get used up. The particles are hard to find on Purpose, think like it is an easter egg hunt.

Talk to Q on ESD (FED), Qo'nos (KDF) or New Romulus Command (Romulan) to start the dailies, you'll get three locations to go look for the omega particles.
Like mentioned before: head over to said locations, scan for the particles, find them, finish the minigame and repeat on the next location until all 3 locations have been done. When finished talk to Q to get the rewards (this can be done from the mission log window, you don't necessarily need to return to Q's location to collect).

Good luck!

I'll double check the available and current mission tabs. May not have been there since I never completed it the first day, it cleared the info.

If that fails, maybe I can drop it and restart it to get the locations.

That might be your problem. If you didn't complete that daily mission on the day you got it, it could be messed up. Try dropping that old one and get a fresh one.

That was it.

And nemesis is about as experienced as he is a good speller. Not all games dynamically update such quests, and since I'm newly returned (I remember when it launched) I hadn't explored much and so thought the locations were, as stated, in social areas.

All the locations are in "social areas." some of those areas (Andoria, Wolf 359) are sorta pointless, however, except for the fact they exist.

Andoria and Wolf 359 are there for Historical reasons (If you consider Star Trek Enterprise episodes to be 'Historical'). Wolf 359 is basically a memorial for the Massacure at Wolf 359.

And Don't forget some foundry missions may (Not 100% certain here) be started at Andoria.

Next question, is it common for quests to bug out? And no I don't mean Foundry, I mean faction quests? Spent over an hour killing Elachi ships only to have the last 3 disappear and have to start the quest over. Not even remotely going to play much less spend money if that's a common occurrence.
