New player - can't even log in.
Hi, so I made my account about a week ago and found the launcher kept giving me "Invalid username or password." - figuring I should just give it some time to process my account I came back to it today, and the issue persists.

The password is correct, as I can log in to Arc Games without a problem. Tried both my username and email as per Reddit, but still no passaran. Launcher says the server status is green.

you should use your email. your username on arc might actually not be the same username you create for STO.

Already tried that after seeing a post about it on Reddit, no dice.

After logging out of the site, I now can't log back in. Attempting to reset my password yields "This Email Address is not registered for an Arc Games account.".

In that case, why do I have a confirmation email for STO?

Another update: Trying to create a new account yields "Someone has already used that Email Address.".

Which is it, Arc? Have I signed up or not?

Darnations, that's an evil catch-22 you've gotten into there. Sadly I cannot come up with any great solutions, except trying to send Cryptic support an email.

Gotcha, I'll try that after scouting around on the subreddit some more. Thanks!

Since you are a New Player, Try making another new account with another email. Make a new webmail account like gmail or such and use it for the new arcgame account. Next is make sure you look in the spam for the verification emails. Next thing is to use an easier password, don't be using complex characters.

Yeah, you need to contact arcgames customer service for that first account.

I had an issue where during account creation it allowed me to use more characters for the password than the login screen allowed and it caused the same problem. The password was truncated when the account was created with no warning, so when I tried the password it never worked. It only worked when I shortened it.

What does that have to do with the topic of this thread? Games are banned in certain regions for many reasons.

Out of curiosity, would you happen to know the maximum password length? I use a pass manager that generates fairly long passwords, so that may be the problem.

from what i can tell, trying to register a new account, passwords need to be 6-14 characters and is case sensitive. ArcGames also offers an email-based 2FA. website didn't give details on what characters are allowed.

I agree with Vorik, if I remember correctly it was a max of 14 characters.
