it couldnt be "star trek", it had to incorperate "modern culture". They could of cut a lot of the crap and replaced it with character building and plot. Im assuming its an alternate timeline because of the "kill aliens to power our warpdrive" crap, and admiral sleeping with captains. Almost terran empire like. Ill give it till next season to get better, most of the other star treks were pretty bad 1st season.

Beyond that, DSC was made for those who'd watch the JJ movies. Not for TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT/TOS fans. They have their shows to watch after all.

Everything is a disgrace for the franchise since the year 2005 , when Enterprise ended. STO is also a huge disgrace for the franchise.

That's majorly a matter of opinion. DSC's been rather successful, you have to admit, though, and probably won't be going away for a while.

And that STO is a disgrace for the franchise, its not an opinion. Its a fact. If you are telling me that you think that star trek deserves such a lousy and mediocre vidogame, without any quality control, broken as hell, then, you really hate star trek with your entire soul.

Same for anything that came after Enterprise. All JJ stuff is more than garbaje because anyways it isnt star trek. DSC is garbaje, basically for the same reason and because the show, is bad, terribly bad. And im not talking rocket science, its obvious. Again, it doesnt mean the show is going to be or not succesful, unfortunately the worst shows are inmensily succesful these days. Because the majority of the audience of those shows are kids and teenagers, that audience want a packed easy to understand show without the need of thinking not even in the most obvious details, fast science fiction that keeps them annoying for a while. But they dont want an actual good product, and this is happening since a long long long long long time ago.

Its the same rason i dont go to the cinemas anymore since time ago. First, give me a good movie i can watch in the big screen, then i would gladly pay what it takes to watch it. Until then, haha, not in a million years im going to watch a movie in the cinemas anymore.

There is too much of a modern political agenda when it comes to newer movies and shows. SJW wars the last white guy. Or STD, Star trek discovery sexually transferable decease. It has replaced good storywriting and raped good characters. It is such a sad sight. DS9, TNG and SG-1 remain my favorite shows of all time, discovery does not even deserve to be called a television show for it's mediocre and terrible writing.
