From what I found on google it seems as if "relief missions" or aid the planet or whatever they were called have been phased out?

Do they still exist and can somebody clue me in about them?

I made a bunch of Medical Supplies, Provisions and Shield Generators. Wondering if i should just recycle them or if I'm looking in the wrong place.

They used to exist inside the nebulae you see around the starmap. You'd warp into the nebula and fly around scanning "Unidentified signals" which would then pop-up a random, procedually generated missions. These were refered to as "Exploration clusters" and they did have the chance of spawning the Relief missions, goto a planet which would give you a story and ask for help, you give them the supplies and you fly off.

To the best of my knowlage they were phased out quite a while back due to the buggyness of the clusters' missions. I don't think Relief missions are in the game anymore sadly.

However Supplies, provisions and shield gens can be used in fleet holdings / dilithium mines, etc and in reputation on the occasion so they're still useful!

Duty officer missions at nebulaes, use those items also.

The kdf's defense missions still are there but all those do is kill ships. I would have rather they fixed it instead of removing them oh well.

As Running-Target noted, Duty Officer missions given to you INSIDE the nebulas are the closest thing to what you are describing. Certain nebulas have missions requiring small amounts of supplies to be provided to colonists (e.g., med supplies, provisions, shield gens etc). So you can still run these. Enjoy. :KneelingBow:

lol, crypitic is 'cryptic'; perhaps a form of insanity, like 'gamersfirst' and fallen earth
probably the only thing keeping sto afloat is the will of the IP owner, paramount i think

i suppose that is the point of the timespinners or whatever, with the new 'old' star trek starter campaign, to bring the focus back to the core of what is 'trek'
; since it IS trek, maybe we can look forward to a bit of a revival? Perhaps they will spend some money on some new talent or consultants? one can hope (for some real trek development, not generic mmo development)

i don't get how Star Trek can let this go, the IP owners; surely they want a game that inspires fan appreciation? lol
