color question

hey guys, tactical is yellow, science blue and engineering is red right? Color wise?

That's the TOS (Original series) way, correct. Which btw, applies to the game too if you start as 23rd century captain (temporal agent).

Next Gen and newer, including the game, it's Red (command/tactical), Gold (engineering/operations) and Blue (science/medical)

so do i use red after i die and am in the new century? Im at the point i become a temp agent.

You can wear whatever you like, the game does not force anything clothing wise.

Role-playing wise, when you are recruited to the temporal agency and brought into the future (present actually) you are instructed "to blend in". That is, wear the official uniform of the 25th century, the Odyssey uniform with the 25th century colors.

Personally, for my. 23Rd century captain, I chose not to. I am using 23Rd century uniform still with gold as command color.

Do you know what are the official colors for starfleet academy?

Academy colors are in the same link I posted for the uniform code. For an engineer it will be dark blue uniform with gold colors.

Technically though you are instantly given command of a starship. And also iirc the cadet uniform parts are not free at tailor.

alright thx man, 1 last question, if I am Lt. Cmdr, can I get better ships they offer at the zen store or I can only get the ones that are for my rank?>

I believe you need to be the rank required to purchase a ship in any shop (requisitions and c-store), won't be able to use it until said rank anyway.
