It sounds to me like you're a veteran player who has come across the 'Omega Task Force' glitch, from when they changed the rep system. I didn't have that issue, so I can't help.
Well, I can tell you that we used to turn those items, the ones I think you have, in at Deep Space 9, to the Omega Task Force there. Don't even know if they're still there.
But try giving us more info to work with, like Item names or whatever. Not that I will probably be back, I rarely return to posts because, frankly, I don't have to.
Ah, okay. That'll be in the reputation tab. (press U, on the top bar "reputation").
Find the appropriate reputation, for example Omega for for Borg Processors. There are three slottable projects. Turning items (or marks) in to dil is in the bottom slot options (the two other are for crafting reputation items).
Sounds like you have not done any reputation stuff at all. You really should (even if you won't craft the gear) as they unlock very important traits.
I personally still prefer Fleet gear over Rep gear, but there's some fun stuff to be had and powerful combinations when you manage to get a set.
But yeah, even when you don't want any of that, still do the Reps all the way through.
On top of nice passives / actives, you also get a big chunk of raw dil for completing them.
Quite right. 50000 dil per reputation completed. How many is that now....9? So 450000 dilithium right there (takes a while though).
You just set the daily and are done with it.
In the long run, it really does cut down on grinding for a while.
I'd rather get 32k dil in a few weeks than grinding that amount every other day.
Then again, it's a one-off, so there is that. Still worth it IMO, since you do not actually have to work for it. And you get more or less usefull skills doing it.
admittedly I have a tank build anyway, but the borg set goes marvellously with just about anything, I've found.
How do you do this?!?
Is this an end-game thing your talking about??
When you have a new character if you kind of hold off upgrading stuff early on and save up as much as you can then you will save a fair bit if you just use the exchange when you want to upgrade something just search and buy the item you want usually there is a heapload of it available a lot cheaper well just one of my noob mistakes
also just started doing reputation thingys and seemed to have picked up various borg implants and voth stuff on missions & traded them in for dilithium but sometimes you can only complete one of those missions every 20 hours or something I'm not sure what the best way of doing it is yet there are so many details in this game I haven't got around to looking it all up yet & it don't always make sense to me!
Very true. That's why no one upgrades random stuff. Only upgrade equipment that is worth upgrading all the way to XIV (quality is secondary, but to maximise the chance of quality upgrade start upgrading all the way from Mk II).
The strength of this game is that it has a lot of all things Trek in it so if you like the tv series and the movies you can see all of it or much of it in the game. But to me that isn't so much about getting hold of the super upgrades. You can finish the story at a certain point and that will be it & when it gets to a point of samey oldness well it's just over fairly quickly. So I probably wouldn't invest so much in it that it would be disasterous to not get level xvi gear. Well I think we'd be lucky to get an overhaul of this game and luckier still to get new episodes in the form of standalone games. The problem seems to be a shortage of really good original ideas. Or maybe they could just try to push closer to what exists in the TV series & films so you just get to enjoy the Star Trek universe.
