8472 Counter-Command reputation awards phaser and disruptor weaponry.
Not really, but its an additive bonus so it may seem like you're getting diminishing returns as each time you add more % damage, it's % of the original amount, not your current amount... at least with consoles. There are two types of damage bonuses which people call cat1 and cat2.. the sort you're talking about is cat1 while damage boosts from something like a boff power are cat2.. the cat2 buffs are multiplicative with the cat1 buffs.
Yes. It's why you're generally going to want to build around a single energy type, and work on boosting that energy type's damage. It's also why tactical ships will inevitably dish out more damage with their weapons - more tactical console slots to put +energy and +crit consoles into.
...or the ungodly Tzen-tar which can field 6 tactical slots.
Since i only know 1 Phasor and 1 Disrupter Torpedo and the same Quests offers good Consoles for both Dmg types i will build on those two.
This really is some good advice. Once I broke myself of the "wow so cool to have different beam types!" habit, and started building around 1 type of energy damage only, the difference was noticeable.
