some people want the Galor, just because it's a Galor, Keldon is a different hull, even though ingame it's basically an upgraded version, got a friend that's been opening old cardassian lockboxes looking to get one, woln't touch the T6 one as it's "not a Galor"

Yes you can, hence why anyone bothering with the T5 Galor would be making a huge mistake in investment. The reason its expensive is because its got a collectible status, because they don't drop anymore.
The T6 Keldon can use the Galor model with both red or blue deflector variants and has a vastly improved layout and a neat little disruptor lance console. I know, because my KDF engineer flies one.
