Impulse don't work

I had it set to full impulse but the ship wouldn't move

I know a stupid question, but do you have Impulse engines installed :) Believe it or not I was upgraded engines, forgot to put the upgraded engines back on my ship, and this same thing happened to me which is why i ask

it didn't work, worked, then broke

log out of the character and come back then try again. Or go to your bridge view then come back, make sure you have an impulse engine installed in the slot.

Did you have the parking brake engaged?

I had this issue and it was due to my xbox 360 controller being plugged in. Once I unplugged it, I could move again
