Bug where Garrett won't talk

Stuck in Space dock, can't complete 'Talk to Captain Garrett.' He's there, has the inverted exclamation above his head.. but there's no talk option on him. Can't proceed. Any help, hopefully other than 'start over'?

Is this where you are? Sometimes the dialog box is not visible after some time, or if you are not standing close enough. Try moving to another spot then back to Garrett and see if that works, or, check down in the lower right corner for an Ops button then push it.

OP is i guess started a character in 23rd, at the space dock you are talking to Captain Garrett there too. Move closer to him to get the action button.

I have found countless times in STO that option to interact is not working and usually to fix it all I do is log out the character and log back in, usually if you are doing a mission this won't make you restart and instead it just reloads the map which fixes the problem.

Ricco, he just said s p a c e d o c k. He's not talking about KT Garrett.

Ok dude, try relogging. Just press esc, and then "change character". Once you're in the main menu, load the same character back in. They reappear in the same cell with (usually) all quest progress still there. If that doesn't help, then yes- I would suggest restarting the mission.

Maybe Garrett just doesn't like you???
