They have improved the diversity in starships, they have improved the graphics immensely, and they are slowly ever so slowly squashing the worst of the bugs.

Had the game looked like this and played like this at launch it'd have been a bigger title.

Yes, spending 10grand will get you any ship with all the equipment you will ever need. Only one thing wrong with that plan... You must have the rank to get the best stuff (Admiral). All the money in the world will not buy that rank.

You must grind. Daily. Do the dailies on your available list, and grind. This game does not just give you what you want right away.

Here's my suggestion, and I've been in the game for at least 2 years now, and still haven't made it to level 60. (of course I started over so many times it's not even funny), but do as I say...

Don't need to spend any money at all until at least level 15. You can get all the ships and equipment you need by doing the missions that come at you from that Admiral Quinn guy. After that, you will feel the need to get better stuff and will have a general idea of what you need.

Keep in mind that the creators of this game will take your 10k and give you nothing in return. Just a bunch of invisible stuff to put on your worthless ship. The best advice is to leave the game before it has hooked you.

...sorry, I digress. To your post, it will take a few weeks to get to level 15 and I can say that to get to tier 5 you must play the game at least 3-4 hours a day, and will take a few months.

Please trust me when I say this game is not worth spending a dime on. It's mind control at the most extreme level. Subliminal hypnotic wave patterns in the music, graphics and voices. You will think its a lot of fun for awhile, but you will soon find that no matter your ship or equipment you will be blown to bits frequently. Despite your best wiggling or moving back and forth, or no matter which way you "plan" your strategy you are doomed. There is no winning in this game, it's just pure torture as soon as you are free to travel the galaxy.

Hold on tight to your wallet, and delete the game and forget it ever existed. It's not a very fun game. More like a real-world job with no manager, or clue as to how much work is actually involved.

No, it wont. I really dunno why you keep poping up saying nonsense all the time. The only thing you do is to misslead players that actually want to learn something, not the opposite. I told you a million times, first LEARN HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME (i think after more than 2 years its about time) and then, start giving advises. It wont matter if you waste 4000$ in this game. If you dont know how to play, you will achieve absolutely nothing. And viceversa, if you know how to play you can achieve the exact same thing with a free tier 4 ship than using a tier 6. I was only playing the game like 2 hours or less every day for a few months until it started to sink in that this game was a rip-off, but something forced me to keep playing. This game is hopless and has no fun factor whatsoever. I know how to play the stupid game, I was trying to find the fun in it. Trying out all the different types of weapons and shields and consoles and armor and the list goes on endlessly. The creators made sure that anyone could play this game anyway they want and will still arrive at the same conclusion, that it's faster and easier to just pay cash for stuff. Tell me I'm wrong!!!

Why the helllll does it matter to you what someone else types or thinks? Are you some great sympathetic being who feels the need to "help" everyone by telling them they don't know how to play the game, and that they should just waste countless hous daily "grinding" for this or that. This game is stupid.

Also, someone said it best to me here, there is not much viewers here (meaning not many people actually play this game and come on the forum to talk about it). This forum is made up of people who have long ago finished all the missions, got all the ships, and have nothing better to do but wait for more content to demonstrate that "I have the ultimate ship, and I can beat this game blindfolded".

On a XP weekend with boosts you can do a start to lvl60, not that hard tbh.
IMO things started going downhill season 4, mind you thats right when f2p started.

i think someone didn't understand me.. i said Less content and quality a LONG TIME AGO.
Now it's a ton of Content and Moderate Quality or better.. but you do have to have a strong PC..
