Auto-Execute officer abilities
I am just starting to play this game on PC. I have been playing on xbox, but I have a friend that I want to play with so I'm starting over. On xbox, I can set my space bridge officer abilities to auto execute at different thresholds (i.e. Whenever Possible or When shields are at 50% or less). Is there a way to do that on PC? I found that it made space combat far easier when I don't have to micromanage a dozen abilities.

Nope. They only allow you to customize the way your boff powers work because you don't have near enough keybinds available as a PC does.

Ok. Thanks! Is there any way that I can put multiple abilities to one key? So for example if I have two officers with Fire At Will, could I just press one button to activate both?

You'd only end up activating one copy of the ability either way. But you could use keybind bars and the sto keybind program to make something sorta like what you want.

Oh yeah that's true. Plus there's the universal cooldown too that I didn't think about.

Thanks!

Hello,

Console -> PC. There are a lot of differences, but the one you're talking about in this post is auto activation of abilities.

First off, let me start off by addressing what comments 3 & 4 are talking about. You should only have 1 of each ability present on your station bar, because if you use one, it puts the others on cool down. If I'm already using FaW why do I need to use it again? Plan your cooldowns well, and see what puts other abilities on cooldown to help spam the crap out of your abilities.

Now, onto the original post. There are something you can do for some "auto" activation of abilities, they're called Macros. I don't know too much about them (because I don't use them), but they can activate certain powers each time you push a button. It does help with computer control, but some people really like the push of a button to know that it's working. Not to mention it's easier!
