Im still leveling (54 now) , should i buy all the officer in purple version from the excange or the white / green/ blue that i got from mission are fine?

Cheap indeed, but it's not actually the color quality that makes a boff "good". What skills they have out-of-the-box is irrelevant as those can be changed with training manuals.

What you are really should be looking for are space traits, which are pretty rare on the Fed side (besides humans, that is, as they all have leadership).

Look for Pirate, Efficient, etc and particularly (superior) Romulan Operative. The last one pretty much only from Fleet Embassy for fed characters.

Since there aren't that many space traits to begin with, just try to get something for every seat.

For dps purposes (superior) romulan operative is the top of the heap: adds crit chance and severity, and yes you can stack them for a maximum (5) of 10% crth and 25% crtd.

If you are a Romulan captain, you can get all SROs, but save a place for a Reman with the Superior Infiltrator trait. You can only have one..

Feds and Klingons can only get the blue Tac SROs from the embassy on New Romulus, so you can onlly use as many as you have Tac seating for.

The rest are less important, but you shouldn't ignore them ....

Nausicaans come with Pirate. You want this when you can't get SROs.

Feds can get TWO pirates. One is from a mission and is easy to get. The other can only be gotten by completing all four ranks of Ambassador Commendation track and selecting the Nausicaan as your reward..

**NOTE** You will only have ONE chance to get the Nausicaan. If you forget and chose some other race, you are out of luck.

Next is the Efficient trait. Saurians often have it.

The rest of the traits become much less important at this point, with some oddball exceptions. Here you can find a list of unique BOffs with unique traits:

Almost forgot.

23rd century boffs from Fleet K13 holding have space traits. Expensive af but there you have it... The romulan boffs are too, but atleast they are worth it, not sure about these.
