the gound combat in this game plays immensly better with a controller but other than that pc is the way to go.
on pc you get better preformance depending on your pc build, as well as the fact that most of the promotional giveaways for games by perfect world are for the pc edition. in fact there is currently one going on at alienwarearenas website
i have to agree with you to a point. when it comes to mmorpgs such as star trek. majority of the time pc will always be the better bet. bc they were orignally intended for the pc crowd most likely.
for shooter games a keyboard is way more responsive than a gamepad. but then those games also attract the scriptkiddies who use cheatengine, thus bringing the pc versions to there doom
for action games, controls are almost always better for console, although graphics will most likely be superior on pc. and most of the time you can plug in your xbox /ps4 controler if you prefer pc.
for rpg games. depends on the audiance it was targeted for. for example dragon age origins was much better on pc, but when dragon age 2 came out, they took away the tacticle combat that made the pc version and focused on the action combat. thus making it feel awkward on pc without a controller
