nude mods for star trek online
i seen a few people that came out with some. i got concerns on usering them.

are they against the TOS and are they free to use without braking any TOS rules. I know there client side only. also are they macro's/hacks which are against the TOS

It would depend on if it's only on the client side or server side... client side would mean only you see it.. and it's just a skin... if it's server side and others can see it... then that would get you banned...

Well.. I read "TOS" as "The Original Series", combined with "nude mods" and now I am deeply regretting reading this thread.

Oh its clients side only Cyric :) and its only skins from what i understood on the mod's discription

There is no such a thing as "client" side. Since everything happens in the server side. Because everything needs to be sync in real time.

Mods are against PWE's Terms of Service if I remember correctly (client-side included).

its against ToS, but will you be banned? probably not. cryptic doesn't really care if you want to see the world's worst pixelatted star trek tits. why you would want to risk it for something so stupid, though....who knows?

i dont was only asking if the mod would be legal to have it. but since all mods for STO are against the TOS im not touching this :) thank you for your support guys. GG :D

You are better off modding Skyrim or Fallout for the naughty bits since those games are known for being great for modding. Plus you won't get banned from them since they're single player.

I use it some i like edited to put tatto and new cloth . you can only see on your computer so . no one can see your mods are safe . but just not do a video or screen shoot only on this ways you be banned

I'm 99% sure a nude mod wouldn't be visible to other players. The server processes your commands, and your client renders them.

But this is the technical side of how STO works and I don't really know much about that.

hmm... I was hoping you'd bother with a source. Granted, the post you'd probably get has probably gone into the void with one of the forum transfers. So I'll give you that.

Although it does suprise me that client-side modifications would propogate to the server then other clients. Seems like a massive security flaw.

Regarding nudity in STO... I doubt it, there are children playing this thing. (children with better ship builds then mine).
