its a set item i think - not sure though if its worth it as there doent seem to be much build bonus etc to support it
it is not part of a set, just an extra mission reward to prolong the featured episode runtime... there are like 5-6 projectiles (not sure, maybe more) per normal shot and each does radiation damage. the high yield shot produces a nuclear warhead torpedo which looks good. though i haven't made up my mind completely about it, it feels like a valid torp option on my lvl 25 rom tac. i would say regarding its use on an escort, the high yield torp is kinda slow at first, so if you are not carefull, you could possibly end up in the blast radius of the nuclear warhead explosion.
It's not a bad weapon. I'd only use it on a radiation build with the neutronic though.
it fits in a normal weapon slot and you can only equip 1 of them per ship. it also has a 180 degree targeting arc.

I've seen a few discussions about using it to proc PWO doffs for the neutronic.
The damage it does is so weak, it's not even laughable anymore. I think there are three reasons to use this thing:

1. RP: The thing looks nice under Torpedo Spread (TS)
2. To boost energy builds via Supercharged Weapons (starship trait)
3. To proc Projectile Weapon Officers (DOffs for torpedoes), but there are better ways to do that, unless you're in a 2 or 3 fore slot ship.

On that note, has anyone here tried equipping both the Kentari missile launcher and the Ferengi missile launcher from the lobi store at the same time? Does it look cool, or do they not interact well with each other? I've never actually seen the one from the Ferengi weapon set in action, because I'm not willing to risk my precious stockpile of lobi saved up from the old free events on a fashion experiment that will almost surely negatively impact my ship's effectiveness.
Why not copy your character to Tribble then?
Some people don't care about killing things efficently (although I'll agree that the ferengi launcher is sorta useless). It's not like normal is difficult after all.
Yeah, I'll give you that. But from what I know JaQMaquis was asking in the form of visuals. Far as I know the only real use the laucher has is to proc PWO dofffs for other torps.

One thing is to have just 1 single useless weapon. But more than one???? keeping in mind you can "only" have 8 weapon slots... that will be a total breakdown for your build. Any build.

8 weapon slots?? No no no, that's way too many. I was going to put both missile launchers on my Vaadwaur Fighter and kick it old school. Maybe attach the Sol Defense set Engines so it looks like I'm burning solid fuel. Low tech is best tech. If my missiles don't do enough DPS, I'll just click Ramming Speed.and Rock and Roll simultaneously. This plan is flawless.

But if the Ferengi missiles don't look cool, what's the point? Trying it on Tribble first was a good suggestion, but unfortunately I forgot what fake email I used to set up my account and I can't log in to the character transfer page without verifying it.

I guess I could use a bio neural warhead instead. The little antiproton zapper it fires on the way in will surely double my fighter's DPS. Although now I want to combine it with the lobi sniper cannon and see if I can kill everything with a shuttle without ever getting within 10km. These are next level builds I'm sharing here.

Don't be calling my fighter a shuttle. Piloting a fighter is the purest form of space combat. A shuttle is just a glorified bus for people who think transporters kill you every time you use them and what comes out the other end is just a clone. Those people are actually 100% correct, but only fighter pilots deserve to live forever.

To be serious though, so far going double torpedo has been my best fighter build, with the Romulan Hyper Plasma being king. It both procs Projectile Officers more frequently and spews a bunch of targetable objects that make it harder to focus on your paper thin ship. The Kentari works pretty well in that role too, but once you get bored enough to start taking on battleships in a fighter, it's not so much about DPS as it is LPS: lols per second. The more stupid crap I can launch out of my fighter at the same time, the better. The Vaadwaur fighter permits seating 2 tactical officers, so it can keep torpedo spreads cycling.
